From the article:
A few minutes after the two men left, Slawiak said, a federal agent approached the ticket counter and began asking questions about the men.
Evidently the feds have been following him.
I wonder why they chose to arrest him now?
Good catch, nonetheless.

Good News down here in Florida (for a change).

When Amin showed up for his 11:01 a.m. train, three FBI agents and two Immigration and Naturalization Service agents were waiting for him.INS agents get out of bed before noon?

I don't remember where I heard it today (probably FOX) that a security guy at the station remembered seeing this guy with Atta and had notified theFBI earlier.

He was on his way to PALATKA? Palatka is a dysfunctional town on the St. John's. It's old and has some pretty 19th c. houses and a great location, but it also has a large and thriving criminal/welfare class. Many people who are picked up for crimes throughout this area (for example, in Gainesville, about 45 miles away) list Palatka as their home address.
It mentioned that he seemed to be planning to go on to Washington. I wonder if he was planning on meeting up with other people in Palatka? Jacksonville, located less than 20 miles away, supposedly has Al Qaeda activity. I believe there was information last week about a radical mosque that has been under surveillance in Jacksonville (by NYC undercover police, of all people).
Sometimes I get the feeling there's a lot more terrorist activity here in FL than I really want to think about...
