Phoenix is one of the many sites of the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and the next race is Sunday, October 13. You may have participated in this 5K walk/run to help raise money for breast cancer research. Perhaps in participating, you wore a sign to indicate you were walking/running in honor of a deceased friend or loved one who died of breast cancer. The race here in Phoenix annually draws 30,000 participants.
Though the sponsoring Susan G. Komen Foundation has been there in times of need for people around the nation impacted by the scourge of cancer, many people are cutting their ties to SGK and donating money to other cancer-fighting foundations.
The Family Research Council reported last year that SGK donates money to Planned Parenthood, the nations largest provider of abortions.
So what? Well it just so happens that 27 American and international research studies have proven a link between abortion and breast cancer. Women who have had abortions risk a 50-percent greater chance of contracting breast cancer.
The implication is that SGK is defeating its own purpose by supporting an organization that contributes directly to breast cancer.
The Komen Foundation is in denial, refusing to admit that the link between abortion and breast cancer has been proven. SGK would rather ignore the obvious than cut its ties with Planned Parenthood.
Thats not only unfortunate, its disastrous. How many people will suffer as a result? How many unborn children will die because Planned Parenthood is now better funded as the result of the Race for the Cure? How many well-meaning people will participate in the annual races without knowing of Komens hypocrisy? Whatever the numbers, they are too many.
And is this actually a race for or against the cure for breast cancer? I think SGK knows the answer to that, but like a bad habit or an addiction, it is unwilling to give up friends who are a bad influence.
PLEASE HELP ME TAKE BACK THE SENATE!
Why is a charitable organization donating money to anybody else, let alone Planned Parenthood? That's idiotic.
Have you ever known a Rat that fights honest?
