"As for McDermott, he never left California either. He was a Navy psychiatrist in Long Beach who treated actual Vietnam vets when they got home," Hume reported Thursday night. Oh, those lucky patients.
I like Brit! :-)

A freeper reported this a couple of days ago, when they looked up their service record. Nice to see Brit and Co. are running with it. As usual, you see it here first!

House Minority Leader Trent LottA minor point perhaps, but Lott is the Senate Minority Leader.

Notice how the Left constantly bashes Bush about being in the ANG during the Vietnam War and that he never went to Vietnam. Bush never claimed to be a Vietnam War Vet. However, Bonior and McDermott claim to be Vietnam Vets but never left stateside in their capacities as "shrink" and "hash-slinger". The Left is silient on this sham and I hear CNN always calling them Vietnam Vets in order to prop up their credibility to unsuspecting viewers.
LOL

LMAO ...
I am not a 'Nam vet tho' I served in the Marines in the early 70s.. I served a few hundred miles away on the Rock in a support role. I always say I'm a Viet "Era" vet when I have applied for work. But, you know what, I was ready to go in country, anytime... and almost did a couple of times.
That some smarmy frickin' politicians now embellish their records pisses me off. How dare they?

Lott is the Senate Minority Leader. Lott might be in the Senate, but ... the term "leader" doesn't fit him.

That should read:

Seriously, this is how I heard Senator John McCain explain the difference on Fox News the other day:
1. Jane Fonda was a "troubled young actress"
2. McDermott, and comrades are *Congressmen*, sworn to uphold the Constitution and protect the U.S. from her enemies.
