In other words, they facilitated your doing what wasn't right.
Imagine teachers and parents telling kids something like this:

It was a different time then & if you look at my previous posts I said abstinence was what I suggested to my kids, I of course omitted my romps in High School & College. Let me ask you this, if your child came to you & said Mom/Dad i'm going to have sex and I can either use a condom or not use a condom. Now assuming that they're going to have sex regardless, would you tell them A) Use a condom or B) Don't use a condom? I think that the answer is obvious, it's not the best answer but it's the better choice of the two.
