GOP lawyer stumbling a bit, justices keep interrupting him.

Just like the Florida SC you can hear the difference in how the Justices ask question and respond to the GOP attorneys.

They are sooooooooo biased.

Can anyone share how our lawyer is doing?

Not very well. Constant interuptions by the justices. One seems have already decided on his "remedy" ...

I cannot believe what I'm hearing. The Justices are throwing th law out the window in their eagerness to make this "doable".

That being said, I kind of think Lautenberg will lose to Forrestor.

I am confident that the 'Dems polled the likely outcome before the bait and switch was undertaken. Lousenberg will win, no doubt about it.

If a business did this, it would be shut down, and the owners would be very lucky to avoid an 8-foot by 10-foot prison cell with a cellmate who says, "My name is Spike, honey."

Ram this home. The Dems are trying to pull a "bait and switch."

Damn cheif justice is going down the NY law path again. Their law says if a candidate drops out, it is a "Fatal defect" but NJ does not say that. Implication, IMHO, is that in NJ non-compliance with the law means nothing. She asked the dem lawyer if he thought there was an important point to be inferred but he missed the softball totally. Now she is beating the republican over it.

Then get ready for Lautenberg on the ballot.

That being said, I kind of think Lautenberg will lose to Forrestor.

And that's the point--make sure that Lautenberg loses and then all these Dem machinations are meaningless.

I kind of think Lautenberg will lose to Forrestor.

Then the Repubs had better get their people in place to oversee the voting on election day!

it's a fraud to keep him on the ballot ??

It's like killing your parents and then crying because you are an orphan.

About like we thought it would; the Supremes are giving the DNC all the help they can

Any one who thinks the rats did not clear this with the N.J. Supremes "BEFORE" the torch quit has to be a few fries shy of a happy meal.

Democrats can always come togehter to work for their common good ...... if the price is right and the pay off is big enough!"

The GOP will lose on this and I doubt the Federal courts will pick up on the issue, since it's really a state law issue.

I disagree. This is a federal issue and SCOTUS will apply the rule announced in Bush v. Gore: states do have certain powers to set election laws but once they establish their election system they cannot change it in mid-stream. And it is a federal issue because it involves the rights, guaranteed by the US Const., of American citizens to elect officials to federal office (heck, that right applies even to state or local offices in regard to which there is a host of federal election law decisions). This case is going to SCOTUS. The only question is whether the squishy types in the middle (Kennedy and O'Connor) can be counted on or whether they'll want to look balanced and recover esteem lost in the eyes of Democrats by going the other way this time.
