A GREAT way to spend a Sunday afternoon, see Bill Simon and support our troops! October 6, starting at 12 noon, Operation Enduring Support will take place on the deck of the USS Hornet in Alameda. The event will benefit the families of California's Special Ops forces sent overseas.
Go to www.operationenduringsupport.com and buy tickets for your family and friends as well! We want as many Simon supporters in the crowd as possible... so please reserve your tickets right away!
There will be an F-16, tours, a Navy Seal demonstration .... a great place to bring your kids & grandkids! Lots of fun, lots of media....and a good cause to boot! Our soldiers are taking huge cuts in pay as they serve our country, and the goal of this fundraiser is to raise one months' rent or mortgage for every Special Ops family in California. Simon supporters are asked to be there by 12:30 at the latest as Bill Simon will begin speaking at 1 pm.
Go to www.operationenduringsupport.com and hit the "donate" button, then scroll down to "USS Hornet Event" to purchase tickets on-line. Directions to the Hornet are on the web page as well. $25 for adults, $10 for kids....
I'll be there... and hope to see some other Freepers there as well!
(It helps to put his name in the To: area) ; )

Pictures of the Hornet from the museum web page show that the ship has been allowed to deteriorate into a disgraceful rust bucket. Better that it be scrapped and remembered well than allow this to happen. Does Simon really want to hold a rally here?
