It's a joke.
The Dems aren't going to be able to get anybody on the ballot anyway. It's too late.

"I was standing on the corner trying to take an old heap that was giving..."Sounds more like the foundation for a national campaign on the Democratic ticket.

How about Babs Streisand? She'd be a perfect candidate

Will the E Street Band be on staff? Maybe Clarence Clemmons, Max Weinberg, Steven Van Zant and Bruces wife can run the staff!

I'm available to run; however, I don't sing....I can not carry a tune. But as I understand it, I would have to move to NJ by next Monday.

Another rumor--I know it's a rumor because I'm just now starting it--is that Cynthia McKinney will establish residence and run in NJ as the Torch's replacement, since she will soon be "unemployed" and she does have name recognition.
That would be a fun candidate to replace the Torch.

Bruce Springsteen mentioned by 'sources' as Replacement for Torch
About six months ago, there was a push to get The Boss to run. He absolutely refused to even discuss the matter.
