In unrelated news, the New Jersey Democratic Party has announced that a
vat of unspecified meat will be standing in for scandal-plagued Senator Robert Torricelli in the November election.
Early polling has the vat of meat beating challenger Doug Forrester 48% to 44% with 8% undecided.

Rumor has it that the divorced McGreevey has Michael Jackson type skeletons in his closet, and I don't mean the elephant man.
To: SternTrek
He bats for the other "team?" Kewl!

It only helps when the Democrats try to filibuster.
To: Timesink
How about Senator Piscapo or Senator Murphy(or would that be Senator Dolittle?)
Rumor has it that DNC officials have had no luck in trying to contact Murray Mom.
To: Dog
They don't list their affiliations.
I don't buy it that no congress critter will run because they think they will lose. Do you agree that almost any 'clean', reasonably well known dem would beat Forrester? That's what I think.

I still don't believe that low poll numbers are forcing him out. If there's nothing coming out, why not just stay and exit gracefully?

Rumor has it that DNC officials have had no luck in trying to contact Murray Mom. Well of course not. After all, her MO is to change her phone number after the first message on her answering machine.

McGreevey could appoint subject to a special election to be held between November 5 and the date when the new Senate is sworn in. That way the term is not extended, because the Torch's seat ends on the date of the swearing in, just as it would have without the special election.I don't understand. If McGreevey appoints someone AND calls a special election, and the guy wins, what's the problem? I'm talking about the RATS trying to avoid an election altogether.
To: Bob Buchholz
Typically useless of ABC radio news.

Well, at least Tom Cruise is supporting Bush on Iraq.

Is Beamer a RAT?
To: Diddle E. Squat
Well, at least Tom Cruise is supporting Bush on Iraq. Obviously, a quid pro quo for having a missle named after him.

Oh Good heavens, a New Jersey lawyer just said on the MSNBC thread that the New Jersey State Supremes make the Florida Election 2000 Suprmeme Court look like conservatives.'

She's a white woman in NJ. The odds are heavily against us.
To: tip of the sword
Absolutely. Only Vermont, maybe, has a more liberal state supreme court.
