"Now, just WRITE IT IN!" Typo in my nightmare!

New Jersey needs Clinton: Just write him in!

Time for another Xanax (maybe two more)...

An expert on Britt Hume's show said the NJ courts would undoubtedly rule in our favor and the only time they reversed an election was due to someone's death -- in this case his 'political death' does not apply.

Pubbies ought to pay for 24-7 close-in bodyguards until November 5!!

It is only for the balance of the existing term. It does not affect this election. I have said it 10 times. I fear I have beaten this drum until it has no sound.

Will the Torch pass on the money he got for running seeing that he is quitting? Or Will He Keep It? It's about 6 Million American Dollars, I think!

This is nutty. If you KNOW you are going to lose an election, it behooves your party to have you resign, have the party Governor appoint someone for one year. What total crap. That's not a democracy.

You think that's nutty? Here's another instance of nuttiness that I posted on another thread a little while ago:

Not to mention the fiasco in Hawaii, where some are saying that Rep. Mink (D of course) was kept on life support long enough so that her name couldn't be removed from the ballot. She was pronounced dead just 2 days after the deadline had passed.

She was pronounced dead this past Saturday, and the Thursday before that was the deadline for ballot changes. So I believe now there will be another election in Hawaii just as there was in Missouri in 2000 when Carnahan, though dead, was elected to the Senate, and his widow was then given the Senate seat.

I'm started to see a trend here.

Its on. He didn't resign his seat, only trying to get his name removed from the ballot. So they'll go through legal battle that they know they'll likely lose, but delay things past Saturday. So then they'll claim that they have no choice, and do the 1 year delayed election, and claim that they had no intention of delaying the election, but they ran out of time and were left with that as the only option, else abortion will be banned and women forced into burkas, the forest will be bulldozed, and the Great Depression will begin.

And then Armageddon will begin.

But seriously, can they delay the scheduled election just because their candidate dropped out? What about all of the elections nation wide wherein candidates run unopposed?

That is NOT what the Democrats in New Jersey are saying; they are saying that if Torch resigns, the governor can call an election in ONE YEAR and the new candidate who "filled" Torch's seat would run as an incumbant.

I'm just repeating what they've been saying on TV.

The DemocRATS are starting to remind me of Ted Bundy's last minute desperate attempts to stop his execution

How true!! I said it earlier today and this may turn out to be a good thing. How often has a candidate and incumbent dropped out to avoid losing? How selfish and cowardly....We need to keep track.... Cuomo, Torch, ....

Re Mink being on life support - you are right - there is a trend - the Dems have proven they will do ANYTHING to stay in power. Rush always said they were funny to watch. I think they're frightening.
