Why don't you start a thread called "DEM DIVERSION ALERT".

Advisory to people not to get caught up in all the dem diversions and to stay focused on our November goals. Then people can post that they are in agreement. "agreed and bttt". You start it and I'll be the first to post that declaration.

As I understand it, if Torch resigns by Saturday the Gov appoints a successor who would serve for a year with no election occurring on November 5 (for this seat).

That is a thoroughly nauseating and infuriating thought if there ever was one but I just don't see it happening. Not that he wouldn't want it mind you. He'd do anything for power. I just don't think that Daschle, Corzinne, Kerry, Liberman, Edwards will want to play third fiddle to 2 Clintons. That is too horrible to stomach even for democrats. Heck, I'm not so sure that PIAPS would go for it herself.

I sure hope you're right. I don't think that those weenie Dem senators would have anything to say about it (remember thos 900+ FBI files). I do agree, though, that PIAPS wouldn't like having to share the spotlight with the Big Creep.
