[history]
The political correctness extremists are at it again. This time they've targeted Victor Hugo's literary classic, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." Over the summer, a theater group in London launched a production based on Victor Hugo's classic novel -- but called it "The Bellringer of Notre Dame."

Laughton was good but I watched it to view the lovely Maureen O'Hara. The "Sanctuary! Sanctuary!" scene was particularly moving also.

How about "To Kill A Mockingbird" & "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof"?
They'll have to go! PETA will see to that.
And how about "Little Women" and "Guys and Dolls".....very denigrating to women, aren't they?

Oh, for crying out loud! Will this madness never end?

Great post. Both of our daughters died of neurological degeneraton. The most aggravating people were those who pretended to be "senstive." One exercise was to have people wear gloves and roll around in a wheelchair and have their eyes covered, to become sensitive about being disabled. When they tried to do this at the church I served as a pastor, I could hardly express my outrage in polite terms. None of those people could be caught actually talking to someone with a special problem. They were as sensitive as Gore!
I banned the mockery of disability and deeply offended the sensitive one.

Some of our old expressions are going to have to change. How about: "In the country of the differently-eyed, the person of low vision illegitimately becomes an unelected imperalist monarch."
