Ron has disappointed me with his stand on Iraq, but his is the only station I can get in my office. I do enjoy his 'something to say' commentary and today's is right on.

Today Queen Kathleen is offended at the way he treated her. Apparently calling her ma'am is "outrageous" and condescending. "He was talking down to me!" she squeals. She wouldn't know outrageous if it were staring her in the mirror. Oh wait- it is!
To: Ditto
Her grandpap was the biggest bigot north of Capetown.
Are you talking her of John F. Fitzgerald or Joseph P. Kennedy? Probably either answer, huh?
To: Lil'freeper
This is exactly in line with what happened in NY in 2000. Queen Hillary accused "Little Ricky" of invading her space, and the "tough" NY media bought that false allegation. Now Queen Kathleen is making a similar charge against Representative Ehrlich. I hope that Ehrlich will respond more forcefully than "Little Ricky" did two years ago.
To: catonsville
Like so many Republicans, Mr. Ehrlich has been "had" by the Democrats. I wonder if he calls them "my Demcoratic friends," as Jack Kemp does. Ehrlich did not reply to the stacked deck against him, and my guess is that he will come up a little short on Nov. 5, 2002. The MD "democracy," folks, means business.

Of course, this is the only way the lieutenant governor was going to agree to debate her opponent, at a forum controlled by her supporters, sponsored by the ostensibly non-partisan NAACP, which is in reality a political extension of the Democratic National Committee. And most likely KKT was fed the questions in advance.

Any more debates scheduled? I would like to see at least one more debate scheduled in a more neutral (sane) setting.

Too true. Can you imagine what she'd say if he didn't call her ma'am? When a woman decides to play the "damn if you do, damn if you don't game" there's no way to win.
To: Theodore R.
Her grandpap was the biggest bigot north of Capetown. It was worse than you think. In the late 30s Peter Lawford was working as a parking attendant at an exclusive Palm Beach restaurant. One of the restaurant's patrons spotted young Lawford speaking with a black guy and demanded that the restaurant fire Lawford for this "outrage." The patron who demanded the firing of Peter Lawford?---Why it was Joe Kennedy Sr., Lawford's future father-in-law. True story.

He claims to have agreed to 20 appearances, but nothing's official. She's not going to do anything that wasn't her idea first- too risky and she can't hand pick the questions.

Apparently calling her ma'am is "outrageous" and condescending. "He was talking down to me!" she squeals. She wouldn't know outrageous if it were staring her in the mirror. Oh wait- it is! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Earlier today I criticized Ehrlich on another thread here for saying Ma'am because it sounded like he was spending too much time talking UP to her. I said he sounded too much like a schoolkid talking to the teacher because of his use of Ma'am. Yet that airhead Townsend thinks it's wrong to call her "Ma'am" because it sounds like he is talking DOWN to her. WHAT A DOPE SHE IS!!!

KKT better not spend much time with military folks if she doesn't like being called ma'am. Come to think of it, she better not spend much time with her running mate Adm. Larson (whose name she has trouble with.)
To: aristeides
First time I ever heard that "ma'am" is considered a derogatory term. So I guess the military allows enlisted men "insult" female officers with that horrible derogatory term, "ma'am."

In the Navy don't they say "Sir"? I'd love to see him accidentally say "Yessir". That would really get her going.
To: Lil'freeper
sponsored by the ostensibly non-partisan NAACP Are there really people who think the NAALCP is non-partisan? That's a laugh!
To: FreedomPoster
The only people who think the NAACP is non-partisan is the NAACP itself. This is a trimmed down version of his opening monologue and the sarcasm was quite evident in his delivery.
Good manners would be "Madam Lt. Governor"
To: Virginia-American
Her rightful due in this respect would be "Yo Bitch".

That is absolutely disgusting. And she is suppose to be for affirmative action, yet she mocks a man who speaks his mind?
