Commissioner Barbara Carey-Schuler had asked the county attorney to draw up a resolution directing county staff to seek outside oversight of the election.
In the end, Carey-Schuler decided Jimmy Carter might cause too much of a ruckus in the Cuban-Amercian community.
'I don't want to bring in a group that will create more problems,' she said.
Commissioners opted to seek help from another outside monitor, possibly Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
The resolution will be heard Thursday, it is expected to pass.
While Comissioner Natacha Seijas said she didn't want Carter, most seemed supportive of an outside monitor.

With him checking votes, Florida will end up with either Castro or Daniel Ortega as governor.

I can't believe this is happening in America.
Don't any of our elected officials have an understanding of the Constitition?

Hope it's volenteer work. Republicans in that county could end up paying big bucks because democrats can't read.

After the Clinton years I'm convinced there isn't an honest Democrat in existance.

How about leaving it up to the Kennedy School, we could get Janet Reno back on the ballot!

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
If I was Jeb, I'd order the freakin' Ntl. Guard out to oversee those dimocrat counties. (Then let's see them lie, cheat and steal votes!)
He can use the pretext that he's just "keeping the peace and making sure every vote counts!"

And I don't want to even know what old washed up Demon-rats are lurking at the Kennedy School.
George McGovern or Lady Bird Johnson as the 'election advisor?'

Someone has got to file a lawsuit over this, and get it stopped.
As soon as it passes get a motion to shut it down

I thought the DOJ had already been asked to monitor those counties in November? Local dims don't want that so they're trying to find "another way" - like the way they've been doing it!
