Between comments like these and Harkin's mess in Iowa it looks like the Dems are in 'win at all costs' mode.
It kills me that Dems are willing to elect outright crooks and con men, while Republicans in NC are grousing about Liddy Dole being a carpetbagger and steamrolling their favorite Conservative.

if Jonathan Alter is talking,he is lieing
this kool=aid drinker has a history of inaccurate
stories written. nice Irish boy, this Alter kid...

Alter's neo-liberal Message -- It's better to have a corrput and unethical democrat represent the citizens of New Jersey in the US Senate than lose political control of the body. That's pathetic.
I hope the voters in NJ wake up and smell the corrpution.

He said the consensus was that 'more' got done with little Tommy in charge.Alter will say anything to advance his agenda, repeat any lie, ANYthing.

I myself would prefer a different Repub than Lott be Senate Maj leader.
Preferably one that the Clintons don't have embarassing, closet dress wearing secret FBI documents on.
I can think of no other reason for his attitude about the impeachment vote. He was absolutely joyous that Clinton would not be removed.
Operative: "You better hope that Clinton is not voted out, or you'll see this tutu picture in the 'Times' tomorrow."

Alter's reply was that it was important to vote for Torricelli to keep Senate control in Dem hands. He went on to say that many Republicans in DC prefer the Senate in Dassholes control rather than reverting back to Lott. He said the consensus was that 'more' got done with little Tommy in charge. Jonathan Alter is a liar. After hearing about his comments today, I would bet the ghost of Joseph Goebbels is smiling, knowing that his propaganda is being carried on by Jonathan Alter.

If the GOP wins control of the Senate, all efforts should be made to NOT allow Trent Notta-Lott back in power. Someone else needs to be elevated to Majority Leader.

EXTINGUISH THE TORCH.

Just one more reason why,
NJ, it's time to put out the Torch!

I can't listen to that old liberal whore Imus.
His regular guest rump-swabs include; Lieberman, Dodd, Begala, Kerry and Dan Rather.
Oh yea, McCainiac was his favorite in 2000.
The guy is something smelly that gets stuck between your sole and heel.

He went on to say that many Republicans in DC prefer the Senate in Dassholes control rather than reverting back to Lott. He said the consensus was that 'more' got done with little Tommy in charge. Actually, he said the only reason he can come up with to vote for Torricelli would be to keep Dash-hole as the Majority Leader. He didn't say it was important to vote for him, he was just giving the only reason anyone could poosibly pull the lever in his favor. Thus, implying that Torch has absolutely nothing to offer but an extra Dem seat in the Senate.
He went on to say that there were several Repubs that wouldn't want to see Armey as the Leader (who could blame them). I don't think he implied that they'd rather see Puff Daschle instead, though.

Yeah I heard that. Alter showed what a light weight he is in the field of journalism. He doesn't even make a good DNC pundit.
Anytime somebody asks him about a topic other than what's on his talking points he doesn't seem to be aware of it.

No good reason, no way, no how.
Alter is aptly named. He Alter's all the facts to fit and spin the Dem. message.

More gets done with little Tommy? That guy hasn't had a bowel movement in 18 months; he doesn't pass anything!
