Al Gore-- the Norma Desmond of Politics.

I think Gore knows he's a goner. But he has a core group of idiots that will follow him. So if he can gain control of those idiots needed to elect Democrats, he gains both power and some money as well.
If this isn' the reason behind this, then Gore is simply insane!

I can't believe they have Pat Buchanan for "the right" now, he does not represent anyone I know! He is so anti-Bush and anti-war he is probably in agreement with most of the lefties on the network.

This is the nail in the coffin for the DNC at midterms. Exactly, if we can get a little bit of luck from the economy.
Gore has just confessed that he is going to have to protect his left flank to get the nomination. He is making a general election sacrifice for recapturing the activists on the left.
For the midterms, he is selling his party down the river. I just hope the Administration truly has some damaging intelligence to make him look like a fool.

I wonder who advised Gore to make this speech......this is such a red herring....this smells of a x42 dirty trick to help Hillary.

"the logic of the doctrine suggests a string of military operations against other nations..not just Iraq"
"if Congress approves the Bush resolution it would allow use of force by any president against any other state at any time"
"by know the bush administration may be realizing the value of an international coalition"
" the Bush adminstarion has been trying to please the far right at the expense of all else"
"which is more important, passing the Homeland security act or trying to please a RW portion of the administrations base that is anti union"

It's bizarre how Gore has totally abandoned the "triangulation" center-left strategy that got him and BJ into power. He really thinks he can make it as a Dukakis liberal. The latter strategy is now being successfully employed by weasels like John Edwards. Gore really is as dumb as he looks.
To: finnman69
He's now complaining about the "right wing" of the party, who are holding up the Homeland Security Bill because they want to strip federal workers of employment rights.

Pres. Bush is so fit and energetic, quite a contrast to Al Gore these days in particular!! He wasn't as bad in 2000. Lots of Ben & Jerry's and Dominos and Starbucks since then!

MSNBC is determined to spend as much of Microsoft's money as possible before the plug is pulled. Sooner rather than later if we are lucky.
Better to switch over to CNN and the comedian who makes fun of Jesse Jackson.

What about the Dingell-Norwood bill?

Do you sometimes feel like you're in the Twilight Zone listening to these commentators--it's like "Hellooooo--what in the HECK were YOU watching ??" Sure wasn't the speech that I saw, rambling, dull & wooden, irrelevant dates thrown in here and there, he reminds me of a very bad Social Studies teacher I had in High School, we'd get the "handout for today" and then he'd begin to lecture, but it would be about something completely different than what was on our paper....the whole class would be like "huh ???"

""I felt betrayed by Bush's hasty retreat form Iraq in 1991" "
Should'nt that be the UN's hasty retreat from Iraq in 1991?
