In any event, Toussaint’s revolution and Harpers Ferry aside, the Negro slave in America was defacto complicit for 300 years in the social order of the time.

Uhh, presumably when the author talks about America, he means the US or its precursor colonies. Haiti was never part of "America" in this sense.

At Harper's Ferry, the vast majority of insurgents were white, not black. And every slave they tried to recuit ran the other way as fast as possible. HP is not a good example of black willingness to fight back against oppression.

For the most part, the crime of historical revisionism ultimately garners its own punishment, as with the permanent self discredit and marginalization Holocaust deniers have achieved. The author has here compounded his crime of fraud with an egregious and vile calumny, the likes of which I have only encountered in the most rapacious and hate filled communist propaganda. This man is not only dangerous, he is evil. If exile were a practice nowadays, I'd say that we have a prime candidate with this man. In my opinion, he chooses to forfeit his right to live in a free country like the US with his deliberate and conscious slander and lies. He is to be pitied.

Scrutiny of America’s past and present signifies the high value white Americans place on their ability to bring violence and death upon anybody anywhere at anytime.

Um, yeah. Right. That explains why we haven't had a civil war in 140 years (interesting that the only one we ever had was mostly for the purpose of getting rid of the evil of slavery); and why we compare so poorly in terms of slaughtering of our citizens to Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Burundi, Liberia, Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia/ Eritrea, Congo, Somalia, Malawi, and Angola.

Reparations for the descendants of American slaves will have to be violently extracted in the same context as Hamas is extracting revenge from the Israelis.

This idiot author is openly calling for African-Americans to start bombing and slaughtering white people at random in order to forcibly extort money from them. Isn't there a law against such incitement of violence? Isn't there some federal agency we can turn this criminal in to?

You know, now that I think about it, why don't the white people of America demand reparations from blacks? It was for the sake of black Americans' freedom that many of our white ancestors fought AND DIED. They GAVE THEIR LIVES -- NOT JUST THEIR MONEY BUT THEIR LIVES -- so that black Americans could be set free from slavery and have equal opportunities in present-day America.

Surely the descendants of those who fought against slavery deserve reparations for the great harm caused by their ancestors' suffering and dying such horrible, premature deaths.

This is pure crap and is almost just a simplistic incitement to riot.

The idea that blacks were complicit in slavery for 300 years is a slap in the face of black heritage. Slaves, even though relatively powerless survived that 300 years of slavery, something I bet the author could not persevere through for 2 days. He doesn't mention the tens of thousands of black Union soldiers who fought when given the opportunity. They resisted in those ways that they could....notably managing to convince whites that they were not particularly productive by nature. The old "set low expectations" game which was very effective ( but which unfortunately remains as a stereotype today). An insulting article I would think.

The author seemed to have something going talking about paying reparations to people who we actually took property from. That seemed to make some sense and might actually have an effect on the perception that reparations are due to a people since America was founded on private property rights and loss of property has traditionally been more likely to get reparations than loss of freedom. But he traipsed off into the swamp as if he didn't recognize his point.

If the reparations "movement" is reduced to "give me money or I'll kill you," it's only because it was never very far from that to begin with.

For you information, one half to two-thirds of the English, Scots and Irish who came to this country between 1550 and 1750 came here as Indentured Servants, a form of slavery. You don't see all of them acting like a bunch of whiny "waaaaaa give me more, give me more" children do you?
