Streisand, Manilow, Three Mo' Tenors Sing for September 29 National Democratic Gala

Hollywood's new Kodak Theatre will host Barbra Streisand's return to the stage on Sunday, September 29, 2002 for the National Democratic Gala, the marquee fundraiser to benefit Democratic efforts to take back the House. Barbra joins fellow performers Barry Manilow and Three Mo' Tenors, an impressive Artist Committee, U.S. House Reps. Richard A. Gephardt, Nancy Pelosi, Nita Lowey, and the Democratic Congressional Caucus in this very special David Foster production.

Additional performers and speakers will be announced as the date draws closer. Concert tickets start at $500; because the proceeds will be used in support of our candidates, tickets are not tax deductible. When I start the NEW thread, I am considering a slightly MODIFIED approach to this FReep, keeping the focus on our money-grubbing soon-to-be-EX-governor Gray Davis:

While I am ALWAYS happy to bash RATs in general, and left-wing airhead entertainers in particular, what I would like to keep as the focus of THIS FReep: GRAY DAVIS and his bribe-taking.

How about some MORE ideas about Hollywood elites and the prostitute/hooker/bribes theme?

Maybe something like Nixon's "I am not a crook?

The main villian after Davis is Streisand - raising $4 million for these bums.

Well, there are various themes you could use about the dioxin scandal, where Davis Bureaucrats allowed more dioxin to be poured into San Francisco bay. You could have a young boy or girl at a beach asking "Governor Davis, can we have dioxin in our water too?" Or maybe Flipper, or Free Willie happily swimming in a sea of dioxin with Governor Davis considering what other chemicals can be dumped into the coastal waters for a campaign donation. Perhaps the rats at this function might consider that if they are eating "fresh" fish that it might contain dioxin - courtesy to Tammany Davis. Maybe a picture of a fish with "A little pollution is good for a soul - or a flounder." A picture of an owl with the caption, "Give a hoot, bribe to pollute."
