Oliphant Must Accept Help (Broward Elections Supervisor---SEEK HELP, MIRIAM!!!)

Supervisor of Elections Miriam Oliphant apparently doesn't recognize the depth of the hole she has dug for herself because of the botched Sept. 10 election. For the good of the county, and her own political future, she must allow the County Commission and county administrator to help run the Nov. 5 election.

On Tuesday, Oliphant asked county commissioners for $4 million in additional funding. They responded by essentially telling her that she had a management problem, not a funding problem, and that she needed to contract with them for key election services.

Seek help, Miriam. And I don't mean just help with the elections. You really need some psychological help. The fact is that Broward County has a total NUTCASE as the Elections Supervisor here.

Bush and Smith already have asked for intervention from the U.S. Department of Justice, so they're even making a federal case out of the election disaster.

Have you noticed that it is the Republicans NOT the Demmycrats who are jubilant about this? How if the Demmycrat charge that the Wascally Republicans are fixing the elections were true, then you would expect that the Demmycrats would be very happy that election observers will be on hand to prevent any tampering of the ballots. However, the Demmycrats have been very silent about this. Instead it is the Republicans who are very happy about the observors watching the election. Very interesting.....and very telling.

I saw no such post. If you know of it, then post the link here. BTW, have you noticed that Algore did not once mention Miriam Oliphant? Instead Algore blamed the election mess totally on Jeb Bush despite the fact that Bush and Florida Secretary of State Jim Smith offered Oliphant help BEFORE the election. Oliphant angrily turned down such help. So now we have Algore ignoring the facts again. BTW, the Sun-Sentinel is a LIBERAL newspaper but even they know (as evidenced by this editorial) where the blame for the election mess lays. However, this won't prevent Algore from playing politics with the whole thing by blaming Bush.

Oliphant was also the one who authorized a poll worker training video showing a nasty Republican poll worker harrassing a Black voter. Also, despite a critical shortage of poll workers in Broward, Oliphant refused to hire poll workers if they were Republicans. Political cleansing at work thanx to Miriam Oliphant.

It's not entirely impossible that Oliphant's behavior was corrupt as well as incompetent. By delaying and losing many of the votes in Broward, she may have been responsible for torpedoing Janet Reno's chances to beat McBride in the primary, and she may have done it on orders from above.

In any case, it's very important to have competent workers there on election day, and plenty of very competent observers to make sure the cheating is kept to a minimum.

Miriam has until 5 P.M. today(19th) to come up with plan to fix voting mess!Well,today, I had my first outing after hip replacement, and I went to Cafe de Paris on Las Olas Blvd for lunch with a friend. Lo and behold who sails in like a frigate under full sail, entourage and all, our very own Ms. Oliphant. And guess who else? Our favorite Sherrif, Ken Jenne police guard and all, about 9 of them. We outstayed Jenne, but Miriam was still there when we finally left. Wonder what was up?

As for the complaints from the NAACP and the ACLU, there's a heartbreaking story from David Horowitz re. the way the Democratic party goes into inner city neighborhoods, feeding them outrageous lies about the Republican party.... many little children post election 2000 were frightened to tears, telling their teachers that Bush would make them slaves, and that they would become "3/5th" of a person. One thing's clear about people who would scare children, seniors and the poor...they've lost their connection to the church. )^:

Sheriff Ken-Ken recently got a lot of car drivers pissed off near the Ft. Lauderdale Air & Sea Show. When the show was ending, Sheriff Ken-Ken made sure the police blocked off all cross traffic from his exit route (in a private limo) like he was some sort of ruling monarch. The resulting traffic jam enraged a lot of drivers.

What must be done to end this fiasco and keep the Demorats from intentionally messing up the election so they can cry foul is the optical reader voting machine must be mandated as the only accepted machine to be used in elections. The reason for this is that it can count the ballots rapidly but if the machine malfunctions the votes are recorded on paper and can still be manually counted. If this is not done immediately I predict that the dumbocrats in those three counties will again mess up the election, and then immediately point the finger at Jeb Bush, even though it is the Supervisor of Elections that has the authority for the election in each county and those three counties are all run by Democrats!!!!

I have issues with both Bushes, like why if fighting terrorism is really important Why hasn't W sealed the borders after more than a year! from the illegal alien invasion! but I can't bear an abject liar either and that is what you get from the Clintonoids and the Goroids.
