NEW YORK - Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell plans to terminate her magazine publishing joint venture with Bertelsmann AG's Gruner + Jahr USA Publishing, people familiar with the matter said.
The magazine, called Rosie, has been roiled since mid-summer amid battles between Ms. O'Donnell and her publisher over who has editorial control of the woman's title.

Miss "throw gunowners in prison" odonnell ....couldn't have happened to a better person.

Guess the publishers refused to go dyke enough for Rosie, aye?
I don't think the nation really cares. Who'd buy that junk, anyway?

Door, meet ass.

I confess what with three vaguely defined posting categories as "Breaking News," "Front Page News" and "Extended News" I sometimes don't know where to place a story -- and several times when I posted important stories (so they seemed) in the Breaking category -- the Olympic skating fix comes to mind -- they got knocked down a notch by the moderators. Such posts (I further confess) are often a spur-of-the-moment thing. I thought it was important as a once-prominent magazine is folding and I know how many Freepers are over Rosie (a little too much sometimes). I wonder if we need three news categories in the first place.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always read Rosie's fawning over President Bush after Sept. 11 as a gratuitous, desperate grab at some kind of admiring audience.
Sad news indeed. HAR HAR HAR

Later days, Rosie McDonald's. Hope you invested heavily in your mag.

Rosie better watch it. She's killed off her two sources of income within 3 months and aliented permanently a majority of the population to boot.....to live large (no pun intended), you gotta keep the income flowing. How does she expect to maintain her expensive lifestyle?
