ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart USA for Shanghai We fly transpacific to Shanghai and cross the International Date Line.
Day 2: Arrive Shanghai Upon arrival in Shanghai, we are met and escorted to Jing-Jiang Hotel. *****
Day 3: Shanghai/Wuhan/Yangtze River Cruise (B,D) air We fly to Wuhan, where we'll start our Yangtze River Cruise. We'll visit the Museum renowned for the musical instruments discovered a 2,500-year old tomb. (B,D)
Day 4: Cruise/Yueyang Our first excursion is a visit to the Yueyang Tower. Various activities will take place on the cruise in the afternoon. "The Captain's welcome aboard cocktail party and Chinese traditional culture show will be this evening. (B,D)
Day 5: Cruise/Three Gorge Dam Site We pass the Gezhouba Dam this morning. Then we go to Xiling Gorge and visit the Construction site of the Three Gorges Dam. Then we visit the Wu Gorge. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Cruise/Lesser Three Gorges We disembark from the ship and transfer to a motorized sampan boat to tour the Lesser Three Gorges. We return to the ship and pass the Qutang Gorge. (B,L,D)
Day 7: Cruise/Wanzhou We take a shore excursion in Wanzhou, a mountain city, which will be partially flooded after new dam is built. One of the most interesting things to see there is the farmers' market. The Captain's farewell dinner will be tonight. (B,L,D)
Day 8: Cruise/Chongqing/Beijing air We arrive in Chongqing after breakfast. Then we will go to Beijing. In afternoon, We'Il visit the Tianamen Square, the largest square In the world, and the Forbidden City, in which 24 emperors lived from 1402 to 1911. We Will stay at the Beijing International Hotel. ***** (B,L,D)
Day 9: Beijing To start with visit the Ming Tombs, where13 to 16 emperors of the Ming Dynasty are buried. This tour includes the statue-Iined Sacred Way. Then we'll drive in the winding mountains of Badaling, where you will see the landmark of China --The Great Wall. A cloisonne workshop is available to visit at lunch time. You'll see these beautiful enameled crafts are created. (B,L,D)
Day 10: Beijing/USA We depart Beijing for home. (B)
