How long before they blame America

Communist Chinese government testing a new chemical weapon?

If they blame the middle east then I forsee democrats joining Bush in the war against Iraq. Notice how now one attacks China - maybe because they lack the liberals there who would try to stop them from toasting a country that did so. If Saddam was calling for a Jihad against china he would be dead already.

One fearful resident said: "September 14 is an unlucky date, you see. It could have been chosen for the act."
Any idea of the significance behind this statment?
To: tallhappy
about all I can say is "wow". Gives you an idea of how uncontrollable such a thing is.

What is the reference for the two other locations? These articles seem to mention just the one episode, or am I missing something? Thanks.

How horrible. Any guesses on the likely perps? I do recall hearing of a recent crackdown by China on some Islamists (not to assume anything).....

In Chinese four is the unlucky number because it is a homonym with the character for death.
914 sounds like death to you or death straightaway -- something like that.

This isn't politics. What kind of perverted psycho does this?

Thanks, I had no idea.

What is the reference for the two other locations? These articles seem to mention just the one episode, or am I missing something? Yes. As I noted, those reports are from the latest Chinese language news sources. It is in the 9-16 edition of the Hong Kong Sun which reported on the 243 deaths and poisoning at two other locations. World Journal and other papers have picked up the story.
So far it's not reported in english yet.

China has been dealing with their overpopulation issues in various ways. People in far remote villages are dying in record numbers of AIDS......from blood tranfusions given as an energy or health booster. Now this mysterious outbreak.....

I gather fried dough sticks taste something like rat poison.
