It is so good to be back with you people,someone decided they needed my computer more than I did. I missed all of you.
I myself was off for a couple of weeks, unplanned I might add. My old computer went on the fritz after I came back from the dentist.
So, we called Dell and got a catalog. We went to the area computer stores to see what they had and finally settled on ordering a computer from dell.
It arrived about a week ago.
This new computer has Windows XP on it. As I looked at the start menu, I noticed the Windows Product Activation that been the topic of discussion on other threads was already done.
So far I've had no problems whatsoever with my new computer. It works like a charm.
Glad to have you back here at FR.

I was off of the Net most of the Summer. Lightning struck my penthouse apartment, blew out my modem and every other non-surge protected modem in my apartment house. I tried to install another old dialup modem, that didn't work so now I have a new DSL modem.
But the modem blowups were the bad news from the lightning strike. The thunderstorm began about 4 AM on a Monday morning about 6 weeks ago to this day. I awakened and I was standing about 4 feet away from my bedroom window when I was hit by the lightning bolt. The good news is that my hearing is about 25% since I was hit by lightning!
I'm gonna just start pouring the bran cereal directly into the bowl.

It's been pretty chaotic here lately.
I hate it when my WebTV goes down for even a few hours ... they do have occasional problems at the MSN-TV Network.
