FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
- MEDIA ADVISORY -
FLORIDA "TERROR SCARE" DETAINEES TO REFUTE CHARGES Medical students deny threats, running through toll booth, being "uncooperative"
WHAT: On Sunday, September 15, the Florida office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) will hold a news conference at which the three Muslim medical students detained during Friday's "terror scare" in that state will refute charges that they perpetrated a "hoax," ran through a toll booth or were "uncooperative" with authorities.
The men were stopped after a restaurant patron in Georgia said she hear them making "alarming" comments about the 9/11 attacks and about a possible future terrorist attack. They were released without charge after being detained for 17 hours. Since their release, CAIR-FL assisted the men in obtaining legal representation. Their attorneys will also attend the news conference.
"We are very concerned that mere suspicions, possibly based on prejudice and stereotyping, could so damage the lives and livelihood of hard-working young people whose only wish is to defend their reputations and complete their medical education," said CAIR-FL Executive Director Altaf Ali.
Ali added that the rising tide of anti-Muslim rhetoric in our society can trigger discrimination by a bigoted minority. He said that just this weekend, a mosque under construction in Northern Virginia was attacked by vandals.

What you said. Someone upthread, or on the other thread, postulated that this was meant to discourage us from reporting suspicious activities. I believe that's the truth. This whole thing stinks.

Bob Novak on CrossFire tonight, supported the 3 youths and accused Eunice of making up the story-it was his Outrage of the Week. He also ridiculed the increased terror alert.

They've been unaccepted because the CEO recieved so much hate mail and threats... The CEO said he'd find other placement for them.

Could Eunice and her son, have lawyers, too? If they're smart, they do.
And have been told to not say anything more?
I believe you're right. The remainder of this case may not be played out through the media ... at least from Eunice's point of view. The I-75 Three will pick up the slack.

Ali added that the rising tide of anti-Muslim rhetoric in our society can trigger discrimination by a bigoted minority. Quite obviously he must be referring to his fellow Muslims.

Yes, her son is eighteen.
I have no idea why he hasn't come forward, maybe Eunice wants to protect him.
I heard real early this morning on Fox that Eunice will be giving no more interviews, sounds like legal advice!

I sincerely hope for her sake, that she didn't make it up.

Bob Novak sucks!
....sorry for my language.

Protect him? Right now, she needs the protecting and he is the one that can do it! Unless otherwise directed by their attorney, which I hope they have. But, the son according to her, said he thought they were pulling her chain. For all we know, he may not have wanted her to call the authorities.

Lying to protect oneself is an essential tenet of Islam called "Taqiyah". Originally, it was employed by the Shia Persian Muslims, and because of Iran's influence, taqiyah has spread to all of the Muslim extremists and terrorists.
Because Muslims do lie, and they have a religious doctrine telling them to lie, we non-Muslims must regard everything they say as a lie.
It is time to realize that Islam is not so much a religion as it is an enemy ideology and all of its practitioners are "enemy combatants" whose presence among us erodes and destablizes our culture and our nation. The whole lot of these Muslims should be deported from the United States, and NO Muslims should be allowed to come into the US except for diplomatic staff.

She may well also be receiving phone threats. Also, I think it is quite possible her son didn't want media attention. As a nurse, I was required by law to report certain things. I would think things like this factored into Eunice's decision to make a report.

I agree.
According to Eunice, they both discussed that they could be pulling their leg but she decided that she wasn't going to take the chance...she would never forgive herself if something happened....and she would let the police sort it out.
To: Stultis
If they said they were joking, I might believe them, but according to them, the GA woman is lying, the cops are lying about running a toll, the cops are lying about initially refusing a search, and the dogs made a mistake that there had never been any explosives in the car. Imagine that, a conspiracy between a dog, the FLA police, and a GA woman!!
