Oh golly - LOL - we guys do have a directional challenge, don't we - though I'm getting better at stopping and asking for help in my old age. The thrill of driving through some ghetto housing project is just not what it used to be.

This is a handy guide that should be as common as a driver's license in the wallet of every husband, boyfriend, or significant other.
DANGEROUS: What's for dinner?
SAFER: Can I help you with dinner?
SAFEST: Where would you like to go for dinner?
DANGEROUS: Are you wearing THAT?
SAFER: Gee, you look good in brown.
SAFEST: Wow! Look at you!
DANGEROUS: What are you SO worked up about?
SAFER: Could we be overreacting?
SAFEST: Here's fifty dollars.
DANGEROUS: Should you be eating that?
SAFER: You know, there are a lot of apples left.
SAFEST: Can I get you a glass of wine with that?
AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE . . . . .
DANGEROUS: What did you DO all day?
SAFER: I hope you didn't overdo it today.
SAFEST: I've always loved you in that robe.

Bless yore heart, McLynnan!
I ain't heard anybody say, "I swanee", since my dear mother passed away.
There are sooo many good old Southern expressions that are going to be gone in another generation.
These you wrote are going in a Word file!
Thank you.

Gunner, we definitely put a dent in their ranks Saturday, but you now have a price on your head.
Because of that little trick of blasting two of them at fifty yards with a .40 caliber Sig semi-automatic handgun, you are now classed as the premiere sniper.
Just don't stand too close to me........okay?

"I ain't heard anybody say, "I swanee", since my dear mother passed away." There are those in the South with 'economy in speech' who shorten that to "Well - I swan!"
And then we had the likes of Lewis Grizzard..:)))

Post 267, The song was so beautiful. I have no idea what she said, but it was incredible to listen to. Who was that? Wow!
To: ladyinred
Hi, ladyinred!
Not sure if Aqua is still here, but she played it at my request of last night.
It's from a CD called Romanza, with Andres Bocelli (blind, Italian) and Sarah Brightman (English).
Believe she was in Phantom of the Opera, too.
Isn't it beautiful?
I have the cassette, and his Sueno as well.

"He could talk the horns off a billygoat!" That's one funny Southern expression I remember.
McLynnan, thanks for making that "Bless Your Heart" post, it explains alot.
To: ladyinred
Oops - ANDREA is his first name.
