I have been pinged to so many threads I am just making a post about what I have seen going on and just the complete random freak chance that I stumbled on today's events in Naples and Alligator Alley.
By the way...I wish the toll was the $.75 I have seen reported through out the day. Add a dollar to that will ya?
My run in with this story is absolutely the oddest yet I managed to see it unfold.
ENTER= A date ending and the ride back to drop said date off at her place of residence. I am in conversation with her and we notice a plethora of cops out last night near the cracker barrel on 951 in Naples right off the Alley ramp.
Figured they were doing the usual late night stalking for easy tickets for any moving violation. So I drop my date off and after a lengthy chat outside her home I continued back on my journey back home and by now it was 1:20 A.M. and I am hitting the area of I-75 (Alligator Alley) and 951. When all of a sudden it was like a scene from SWAT. About 8 cop cars come screaming out of nowhere.
You know the lump you get in your throat when you look in the mirror and then say " Oh sh!t what did I do?", yeah well that was going through my mind. Then I saw the huge Collier Sher. Bus and I started thinking DUI Check Point. I don't drink so no biggie I will be fine. So I pull off over to the MOBIL noticing my fuel was running a tad low for the morning trip to work.
When all of a sudden...something happened at the gas pump. It stopped. I went in and asked why did it stop? They obviously were taking the explosives threat so seriously at this point and it was literally only 6.5 miles or so from the area they were told that to shut off the pumps at the time because the county was picking up on a threat to fuel.
THIS IS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING WE DID NOT HEAR ON THE NEWS. I was like "wow...glad I at least put 5 bucks in" and then walking back to my car notice more cars and then a chopper and some unmarked cars hitting the Alley which was already shut off.
I said to a guy who was a little pissed off about the pump situation "This must be a bad accident or something, is that life flight?", he said he really was not sure but when he got off the interstate it looked like a massive drug raid or something and saw cops at the rest stops and even air boats with rollers on top.
I really did not put too much thought into it to be honest. Everything sounded and seemed like it was being taken care of. I go down 951 about 5 miles and then notice 4 Collier County trucks for the Water Department sitting outside a gate in the dead of night and cops going up and down the back of what looked like the water reserve plant or something the county has back there for water treatment.
I again took it as something I would find out most likely in the morning and boy did I ever. I called a fellow Freeper AAABest on here and we got to talking about the events and we both agreed that it probably was nothing too serious because of the amount of hours they had been out there in the Glades and other reasons but we were going to keep an eye on it.
My thoughts on this obviously went all over the place at work today. The fuel was shut off at the station. A station that was 6.5 miles from the scene. Did they think there was a local threat big enough to shut off fuel pumps for an hour? Were there people tracing the water plant? I am now hearing they are looking for a 3rd car. Did they see these cars traveling in a 3-Pack and the one car got a call from behind or saw what was going on and got off at the exit right before the Alley Toll Booth?
I can tell you one thing....this county went into serious action last night. The town of Naples showed up in force and whatever is really going down...even if a case of mistaken identity...they were not playing around. The exit is still blocked off as I write this and there are still 4 car roaming patrols (which are never like that) at the gates of the water plant.
America is on HIGH Alert....and I just witnessed it first hand. But I still wonder...3rd car? Where did it go? Where are you?
No kidding. I'm waiting for Osama Bin Laden himself to fall out of the sky and land directly on doug's head as he's meandering his way around my formerly little-known county.
If I stayed to chat...then it obviously was a success. ;)

We had two sizeable explosions at a chemical plant here (Mobile) a few days ago. Same major show of force.
There are a bunch of BLISSFUL intellectools on This "HOAX??" Thread claming these guys right to this little practical joke is a Constitutional right.

Maybe...but they were talking about Miami...wasn't it a Bank of America building in Miami that Acne Boy hit with a stolen plane?
Still looking for info on THAT as well... maybe it was just another "constitutionally-protected joke" by some local muslims...
