In that regard i did notice he kept referring to the President as Mr. Bush. It might be interesting to see whether he used to address Clinton as Mr. or President.

I couldn't see the TV from where I am typing, could only hear it, but Ritter didn't come off as confident and composed to me, he was stumbling over his explanations and trying to keep all the lies in order. It is hard to deal with an agressive interviewer

I wouldn't say Ritter won a thing. He was defensive, contradictory, and hostile from the get-go. Asman may have been a little more emotional than he should have been, but he was just expressing what most of us feel -- utter disbelief with this guy.

I can't imagine money being the reason for this apparent treason. Since you would neber sell out your country for money I'm sure it's difficiult for you to imagine that anyone would. But we're not talking about your or me...we're talking about a bald faced lying traitor, and there's no reason to belive that someone willing to run interference for a mad man like Saddam would not do so for any amount of money.
Don't waste your energy trying to ennoble thsi traitor's motives.

That's one of my pet peeves, so many reporters refuse to use President Bush and write or say Mr. Bush instead, so I have my ear tuned to it. Side-Note* I noticed that by the end of the 60 Minutes II special last night, Pelley (sp ??) had begun using President Bush !

You must have seen a different interview, he was on the mat and down for a 10 count. His false bravado was apparent to me. Any time he was asked questions of substance, he tried to sidestep it, IMO he also hates "Bush"

"the U.S. used inspectors to SPY on Iraq"
So? Wasn't Ritter a "spy." That's what the inspectors were doing, wasn't it?

Does a patriot drag another man's reputation through the mud ? I could buy that he really thinks there is no evidence of WMD capability in Iraq, but the whole Butler was a spy thing is wrong. it's so....so cheap

you've got a point there, the inspectors were "spies" in a way. I was thinking more of the double-crossing, James Bond baddies type spy.

"I think Ritter won"
I didn't watch it, but wouldn't be surprised. Over the year he's become quite refined and media-professional. He's had some expensive pr training.

David Asmon came to play in his interview with Scott Ritter. He was very well prepared and really gave it to Ritter. He handed him his rear end to him.
The change that has occured to Scott Ritter since he was an inspector in Iraq is appalling. It is the quintessential Jeckel and Hyde syndrome. Is he psycho or what??

Anthrax is relatively unstable and short-lived Quite the contrary. Anthrax spores are tough as nails and last well over 100 years, even in poor environments. It took three treatments with ClO2, one of the nastiest gases available, to clean the Senate office building.
