I'm listening on the c-span audio and after Kofi and the other fellow escorted Dubya out, there was a lot of background noise and then some delegate (sounded like the guy that said he and Kofi would escort Dubya out) was picked up on the microphone saying, "Oooh, he was good..." and then a few unintelligible words.

.... Peter Jennings just said it was, a speech of great moral clarity, the kind we've come to expect from the president. Wow, I may not despise him any more! :o)

After speech meeting between Bush and Annan...President Bush facing forward, looking very determined...Kofi at the Pesident's side, turned toward the President, smiling rather shyly up at him I thought...? Who's the Big Man, now?(^:

I hope the UN remains irrelevant and never gets to a point of being able to effectively act on its principles.

Must be for Peetah Jennings to admit something good about Pres. Bush.

You are so right!
Love that poem!

This is a strong determined speech...My husband said before President Bush even opened his mouth. "Look at his face, he's going to give em hell". And that's what he's doing. He was like an angry father lecturing disobedient children!

Blitzer reporting that Lott and McCain will have a joint appearance coming up soon. Who cares what a limp-wrist and a back-stabbing whiner has to say?
