Do you think he knows something we don't? Do you think you know something we don't?
All I know is, you sound like Pat Buchanan.

Which Dems Only Daschle seems to be holding out, and he is holding out for reason of asserting some authority. He is on board, too. There will be debate because that is what they do, and then they will vote. It won't be unanimous, there being those who wish their name to be special-mentioned, but nearly so. I must be listening to different RATs. Kerry - opposed Daschle - opposed Pelosi - opposed Levin - opposed Durbin - opposed Feinstein - undecided Wellstone - undecided leaning opposed

Jennings praised the President??? Also yesterday (9/11) Jennings was unusually praising of GW and the Lady at PA. site of flight 73. Almost spooky...
What a great speech!!!!!!!!!

A few opposed are speaking. The rest are going along. It's just the usual get-your-name-in-the-news PR soundbytes. It is more difficult for some to keep quiet since there is a Republican Admin and they are not used to going to war under a Republican Admin; it's kind of a recent phenomenon.

Is that flaming dunce still on the radio?

The sweetest byproduct of tearing down an Iraq, Iran or Syria would be to turn the financing instuments of terror, depotism and worldwide graft inside out. Yes ... cavity search those Swiss bastards. If the ICC wants a project, how about breaking open the secretive and pernicious Swiss banking system? I'd love to see their depositor lists. Nazis, Sheiks, Kings, Communists, Terrorists, Dictators, Arms and Drug Merchants, Mobsters, 42nd Presidents of the U.S., corrupt operators from all the world. I have a suspicion there would be more than a few American icons parking ill-gotten proceeds there. Was Joe Kennedy THAT successful a rum-runner?
Swiss bankers and politicians are the soulless moneymen of death and destruction in our World. They need to answer, because they are bad, bad people. Historical friends and supporters of: various royals, Oil Sheiks, Vatican embezzlers, Hitler, Stalin, Medellin drug merchants, Marcos, Khadaffi, Mugabe, Saddam, Castro, and unknown numbers of world and American political, diplomatic and economic behemoths banking their freelance and unsavory resources. Since Vince Foster traveled to Zurich on several one day trips, I'll bet the Clintons have an account with one of those fine banking institutions. Were his African trips and Chinese liasons about kickbacks? That wouldn't be like him.
It'll never happen though. Politicians aren't going to rip open THAT hornet's nest. For the same general reason that the town brothel was never raided - the mayor, police chief and judge were regular customers.

Mr. Ritter vis-a-vis Saddam reminds me of Monica....

The Dem Senators who are not up for re-election or who are in lock-safe states are uniformly against any Iraqi campaign that can succeed without blue helmeted observers and the full support of the people trying to kill us. The Dems up for re-election and facing real challengers are keeping their mouths shut.

Speaking of the 60 minutes interview, THIS is the heading for the transcript on the White House.gov site:
That's a trash site. To put it bluntly, only a moron would link to it from here.

Had a nice shower. Didn't miss anything did I?
Tom Daschle still has "many" questions that need answers eh?
I suppose they start with: "why am I such short little man?", "why don't I ever have an original thought?", "why does my wife get all the money?", and "If I screw up this election will McAuliffe let me live?".
Poor little [really little] tommy. Deaf, dumb and blind. He ought to just give it up and go back to pinball.

I am shocked by the reaction today of so many people! Will add Warner to my list.
Had to run up to Tinker AFB and am shocked at the number of responses on this thread when I just came back on! And such a positive thread!
Thought the speech was outstanding and everyone I talked to in one of the squadrons said the same thing!

Hi, Ohio! Just a momentary lapse from lurk mode. :-) But these speeches yesterday and today were enough to pull me back here (just for a few comments). What a President we have! Whenever he is front and center - with no media "interpresters" to skewer the picture or his words - what a triumph he delivers!
God bless you and yours!

Hey, Bush mentioned, highlighted rather, our missing Naval Aviator from the Gulf War. McLaim, for all of his ego and shortcomings, knows that story personally. He had no choice but to back the CinC!
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Well, now that you brought that up, I myself have a few questions for Tommy.
1) Since you feel like you're entitled to know every single person Dick Cheney talked to concerning energy, please give me the name and address of EVERY SINGLE LOBBIST you've EVER met with and what you all talked about.
2) How much money does your wife REALLY make in her job?
3) Where is my muffler?
3)

You are so right about the whiners! I was gone so I have not had a chance to find out what the Whiner in Chief daschle has had to say!
Looking to McAuliffe saying that this speech is no fair!
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
Lurk less.

I had the feeling when I watched a couple of the Iraqi's that they were very glad to be in NYC!

I'm "saving" the Letterman thread for later too, don't know if I can take it... I find that reading about clinton's activities with the balm of FReeper comments is like anti-venom to the snake bite.
To: Wolfstar
I would not worry about this except for the fact that it is inevitable we will have another Left/Dem president some day, and most of them just salivate over the prospect of destroying our national sovereignty. It takes more than the President to effect those kinds of capitulations. If we get to a point where our Congress, Judiciary and Executive would pursue such a scheme, there would be no American soverignity left to save. Clinton was as multilateral as you get, but the Congress and our citizens wouldn't allow that level of abandonment. The Senate voted down his Kumbaya Kyoto dream 98-0, they stuffed his ICC proposals, and they wouldn't allow him to do most of what he wanted. Our system is built to neuter extremists at any stage - it's really just the Judiciary branch that's out of control right now. Hence, the desparate measures the libs are taking to seize the Judicial nomination and approval process. They rule from the bench these days.

Edie has been back from her honeymoon for sometime! As for being distracted -- I would love that to be the case but when she tries to do a serious interview she comes across wrong with dumb questions.
Don't like the Fox format in the mornings when things are serious. I think the weather report is dumb too!
Just count me in the Fox and Friends could do a much better job. Cutting off a General to go to a commercial when he was in the middle of saying something didn't do a thing for me.
