America repudiates yet another Clinton crony. Oh I hope fat legs Hillary runs for the Democrats in 2004! She will go down in flames!! This was only the democrats in Florida, not America.

Do NOT call this race for McBride, yet, people.
Janet is making up the north Florida gap big time. It all depends on how Daryl Jones' voters break. If she's taking Broward and WPB by 2 or 3 to 1, she can win this thing.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

Uh, no, it's not. Don't worry about us down here, there's little chance against Jeb.

That's not the point. The POINT is, this is a repudiation by FLORIDA DEMOCRATS of Clintonism! That's SWEET! Perhaps but more likely the RATs had the realization that Reno was too far left to appeal to FL Independents. The state is half GOP & half RAT so Independents really will decide the next Governor.
It will be a tough race & I would have preferred Reno had won.....the DNC will pour in big bucks & big names to try defeat the President's brother.
To: cinFLA
Yes, I understand that feeling, but what if the democrat machine goes into action & makes sure a democrats wins in Nov. I would hate to see Bush lose to Reno because of cheating.

Is that great or bad for Jeb? Can the other guy take Jeb's job?I think McBride can be beaten pretty handily by Jeb, although a race against Reno would have been an easier cakewalk.
McBride has no legislative record nor record of public service to which to his supporters can refer. He has run a big law firm --- that's it. And his management of that law firm has been highly questionable. Also he only started filing separate tax returns from his wife in 1999, and now he's fighting tooth and nail to keep her returns a secret. Something stinks.
When you add to that the fact that McBride has already in effect announced that he's in the pocket of the teacher's unions, all in all, I'd say McBride presents the Bush camp with a target rich opportunity.
