Al Qaeda suspect demands autopsies of WTC victims

MADRID, Sept 10 (Reuters) - A judge investigating a ring of suspected Muslim militants in Spain has thrown out an appeal by the alleged head of the group after his lawyers demanded autopsies on all of the victims of the September 11 attacks.

A court order obtained by Reuters included a list of demands by the lawyers of Imad Eddim Barakat Yarkas, alias Abu Dahdah, in an appeal against charges of involvement in the September 11 attacks. Dahdah is being held in a Madrid prison.

The lawyers asked for evidence of the cause of the collapse of New York's World Trade Centre after the hijacked planes crashed into them, as well as proof that the planes had actually been hijacked and that those suspected to be hijackers were among those killed.

High Court Judge Baltasar Garzon, who is overseeing the case, rejected the appeal on the grounds of improper procedure, adding: "The notorious facts (of the case) do no need specific proof and it seems obvious that the New York Twin Towers collapsed because of the impact of the planes, piloted by suicide terrorists who intended to get the result they did."

Abu Dahdah has denied any links with Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda, the network accused of carrying out the September 11 attacks which killed nearly 3,000 people.

Garzon, who ordered the arrest of the original group of alleged Islamic militants late last year, has cited contacts between Abu Dahdah with militants in Germany allegedly linked to attacks on the United States.

The contacts include Mohammed Atta, the Egyptian believed to have crashed one of the planes into the World Trade Center.

This guy doesn't know what killed so many people in the WTC... Here's how we can remedy that situation.

I know that I'll never forget the people falling to their deaths from the towers...

I think that we need to have a little demonstration. Take this ba$*#rd to the 102nd floor of a building (or the top floor) and then push him over the edge. I imagine he'd figure out what killed the innocent victims a year ago.

As well as 'proof' the jijacked planes slamming into the WTC caused it to collapse and 'proof' that the hijackers really hijacked said planes. I'd have thorwn his stupid appeal out too. Shame Spain doesn't have the death penalty.

That b@stard's lawyers are just after US intelligence sources like all the terrorists are, and they want to add insult to injury by demanding autopsie results...as if there ARE any...or rather, as if there ARE many.

"Almost 3000?.......what was the death toll at the Pentagon and on flight 93?"

Thanks for catching that. I believe the count is 3,126 dead, altogether. It might be higher. I'm getting tired and my brain is going numb.

They're mocking us.....

Yes, of course they are..

Two of my good friends were slaughtered that day. Their families would give anything to have a thumb or piece of hair to give a Christian burial to.

These scumbags...

I bet if we interrogated this guy properly, he'd be crying for his Dahdah.

I found this earlier today and thought it was interesting...

December 05, 2001 - In the little Arab emirate of Qatar a few weeks ago, police arrested a suspect named Ahmed Shakir. The CIA and FBI are very interested in Shakir. For one thing, he comes from Iraq and thus offers a potential connection to Saddam Hussein. For another, he was spotted by Malaysian intelligence at a terrorist gathering in Kuala Lumpur in January 2000 to discuss the suicide bombing plot on the U.S. destroyer Cole. Also at that summit meeting were two of the men who later hijacked the plane that flew into the Pentagon on September 11.

According to a senior Arab intelligence official, the Qataris “asked the Americans, ‘Where should we send this guy?’ ” The answer was, not the United States. The man was sent to Jordan instead. The Jordanians have been good about sharing intelligence with the United States. The CIA prefers not to ask how the Jordanians obtain that intelligence.

How about we give him the same choice many of the WTC victims had: he can either wait to die while standing in a kiln, the temperature in which is rising, with agonizing slowness, to 11,000 degrees...or he can jump 102 stories and avoid the pain.

Hmm, close call. Difficulty choosing: would like to do both, frankly.

I say we do an autopsy (sp?) on him while he's still alive.

I am so sorry, Katnip. My prayers to their families as well as to you.

Tomorrow will not be an easy day, but I will also pray our country has the courage to replace some of this whining with genuine anger and disgust at those savages who attacked us all.
