Well, if we learned anything from TWA Flight 800, eye witnesses mean nothing.(1)
(1) This spin courtousy of the FBI, the NTSB, the federal government at all levels, the nation's major news outlets, local law enforcement and most US Citizens

Timmy died pre-09/11. Would he have eventually confirmed details discovered elsewhere? Whould have have had a change of heart and talked? We'll never know. But if it might save one future life, I sure wish we had that option.

Timmy died pre-09/11. Would he have eventually confirmed details discovered elsewhere? Whould have have had a change of heart and talked? We'll never know. But if it might save one future life, I sure wish we had that option.I really don't think he would have talked. And it was actually rather breath-taking to watch the folks who usually say "Hang the worthless SOB immediately if not sooner" suddenly sound like liberals: "We must try to understand his rage, and what made him do this terrible deed, and see if he will shed light on his co-conspirators."

I believe he was still thinking of himself as a righteous hero as he walked away from the truck. The realization of his monstrous crime, and the shame of having been used by the enemy, came later. And he chose to die in silence, as quickly and painlessly as possible, rather than to admit how badly he had failed his Country, tell the whole story, and help find the plotters. He played the brave, silent soldier, but actually died a coward, unable to own up to his failure.

I also believe this was a strong possiblity as to why he did not implicate anyone else. It may be that the CIA and or NSA has information that they have not shared because it may implicate their failure to act as well.

Your theory doesn't explain why McVeigh changed his mind, and allowed his lawyers to make the final appeals in the last couple of months of his life, after the Justice Department admitted concealing evidence.
To: Mat_Helm
I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but I am afraid we are not yet close to having a functioning justice department. And I am just hoping that change is moving in the right direction. The James Kopp case really makes me wonder if the FBI has anything at all to do with the concept of "justice."
To: Lamont Cranston
If this breaks in a big way, it'll give us ample reason to attack Iraq, as well as a huge exposure of Clinton... My money is on the first half being true, the second half not happening!

True, and I don't pretend to have any evidence. One possibility is that the late appeals did not involve any new admissions or evidence from him, and would not require any testimony. Just a thought....

Thanks for the flag. I can't believe someone like Poohbah who attacked every effort to get this story out months before 9-11 is here trying to justify his former actions. I don't expect to see _Jim, sinkspur or the others on this thread. I wonder if these folks ever consider what a different world we would live in today if Saddam Hussein and his terrorist network would have been held accountable for their role in the Oklahoma City bombing.
These folks spent hours of their time on Freerepublic attacking the work of dedicated researchers and investigators like OKCSubmariner and others making the case by identifying the "others known." They were known because some were captured on the surveillance videotapes that were confiscated by the FBI and never heard of again.
I wonder if they have any regrets when the videos are shown of their fellow Americans leaping from the windows of the World Trade Center.

but..but...but...they always told us it was right wing extremists! And it was--unless you're saying that Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols had nothing to do with it.
And just what was it about them that makes them "right wing"? or is it that one may not use the word "extremist" without the adjectival "right-wing" ?

You don't think the previous administration lied to the American people for crass political purposes, do you? Does a bear do it in the woods, is the Pope Polish?
Does this mean that all the gun control, anti freedom of association (anti militia) laws passed after 9-11, will be repealed? .. Don't hold your breath.

That's amazing!
Tell me more. I'm ignorant on this subject.

Do a google search on Jose Padilla (the dirty bomber).

That media festival on Hatfill has its roots in Rosenberg and Nass and an assortment of newspaper reporters. The DOJ had only listed 30 'persons of interest' ; it's not the FBI's fault that the media chose to sit 24/7 outside of Hatfill's place and not do the same for the 29 other 'persons of interest.' If they had, they may have seen that all of them were investigated the same way. But the media put a watch on Hatfill because of Nass and Rosenberg and their left-wing groups who are out to cripple our biowarfare research.

Fox News' senior judicial analyst Napolotano(sp?) covered the possible connection late last week. The suspect's name was....Hussein al-Hussein or something similar. Nope, not kidding.
To: Freemeorkillme; mhking
But I wonder why CNN has chosen to cover this. Is this Lou Dobbs acting on his own, or has CNN really chosen to report something that obviously threatens Clinton?
To: martin_fierro
Yup.
I Think we've finally found John Doe #2!
