Gosh. It's been a long time since the cultural cognoscenti have been so excited by anything emanating from the pen of former novelist/essayist extraordinaire and drunken boor, Norman Mailer. However, old maniacal mouth has just authored an 8,000-word anti-American diatribe in the pages of London's Sunday Times. And in words which could have just as aptly summed up the evolution of his career and personality, Mr. Mailer opines: "Culturally, emotionally America is growing more loutish, arrogant, and vain."

Irrational, biased and patriotically self-loathing, this article sounds like a definite 'must' read for America's cultural elite.
