In his quest for the governorship, Independence Party candidate Tim Penny has said that he would "keep pressure on Washington" to add a prescription drug benefit to Medicare; that the federal government should pay its "fair share" of special education costs, and that light rail is a must-have -- all positions he says reflect his "sensible center" politics. But three years ago, when Penny was employed as a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, he helped write a federal budget proposal that called Medicare a "Cadillac health plan" that was "unjustifiably generous." On education, the proposal recommended eliminating funding for everything from HeadStart and school-to-work programs to college work study grants and the Direct Student Loan Program.

Yeah - that's why your wife has to work!
Hardly the issue though.
The Cato institute has a lot of extremely good research on most of the issues of the day. I suggest you set aside a few hours and read up on some of it.

It is sad to see a human being degraded to such a pathetic situation. Reminds me of gollum in Tolkiens works. kind of a sub-halfling reduced to wandering around wishing and searching for the power he once had re-iterating his well worn phrases and once in awhile stopping for "something crunchable, something tasty". Disgusting to all that see him. He lives in the shadows and slime. Hating all because he no longer has the power. Bitter to the end. Allowed to remain alive because of the pity of real people around him, utlimately he destroys himself as he attempts to steal the power one last time....
Hey tuco-bad - "goll-llumm"
Amen to that...I've been watching your interchange for a while and it has been very amusing. Artios, your post at #27 completely nuked him once and for all and he didn't even seem to realize it. Dead Corpse, you were just kicking around a lifeless sack of losing cliches....
Tuco, you just don't get it do you? You are Gollum going up against these guys:
Either get some rational arguments or go back to your cave... You don't stand a chance....
