The constant pandering to the left is getting ridiculous.

They'll have a box in every Kindergarten.

Wouldn't it just be easier to dump every crayon out of a package into a double boiler, melt them down, and create one "Global" crayola...?

I wouldn't have a problem with this if the box was just listed as "fleshtones" or something. That would be sort of cool. But the "Multicultural" logo is something else again since it brings in a whole host of political conotations. They could easily have made this into a decent product useful to kids but instead have gone for the ridiculous.

All of which tell me that the Crayons we all used as children and all the ones until this moment are
R-A-C-I-S-T-! And, it's just about time, I tell ya! I never understood why the teachers in our multicultural school had to write on the blackboard with white chalk and not for instance with black or brown.

It really does make those who do these kinds of things look so foolish.
Now watch some kid draw a multicultural picture and sing, "red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world." And then that kid will be suspended for speaking of the Christian deity and exhibiting insensitivity. Not such a far-fetched scenario, is it?

I just want to know what race the 'olive green' is for... Area 51,....LOL

Binney & Smith dropped the 'flesh' colored crayon years ago. It's now in the Crayola Hall of Fame (I sh!t you not, pilgrim :)

Well, on the positive side, I can remember coloring people a ridiculous peach color when I was a kid. I think skin-tone crayons are a good idea. Still, this is marketing political correctness to a ridiculous level.

It is not getting ridiculous! It has been ridiculous!
It all started when they banned the flesh color!

Nah, probably not!

Same with bandaids----I think they should have different flesh tones just like women's make up has but it doesn't have to be politically correct.

It's for the eyes I guess. I thought the same thing about the blue color, but then I read it again and the crayons are for "skin, hair, eyes, and smiles." A nice enough thought if they didn't bring the "multicultural" word into it with all it's political baggage.

I kid you not, my son had to have these for school one year. I bought him regular crayons -- not even the Crayola brand -- and dared the fascists to make trouble.
They didn't. Their conceit is not matched by their courage.
