In parts of the mideast the women decorate their hands and feet with henna-based dyes. The pattern on that woman's hands looks like the ones I've seen; however, I've never seen the blue tattoo-looking color, and I haven't seen it on the face. It's a cosmetic beauty type of thing though. Ladies like to be pretty! : )

Don't know, but, it resembles the hand of a 4,000 year old female mummy (Caucasian) found in the desert of the Tarim Basin of east central China. (I guess the 'fad' has been around for a while, lol.)

Re the photos of Baghdad: who took these photos? Are the ones from a helicopter from an AMERICAN helicopter? Is a spy getting the market, oilfield, etc, photos out?
