[history]
We have a war-crazed vice president. An addict, a verifiable military junkie. Many of us perhaps do not fully realize this.
We are very unfortunately saddled with one of the least charismatic least interesting most intellectually acrimonious and most desperately hawkish, violence-hungry, soulfully inscrutable vice president in decades, and he wants this country at war, now and always. Oh yes he does.

Clinton did not have any wars, only play like wars such as bombing the asprin factory to cover blow jobs in the oval office. You must have forgotten about the criminal attack on Yugoslavia, a nation that was no threat to us. In fact they were fighting Muslim terrorists some of whom were supported and trained by Bin Laden and friends.

Osama Bi Laden Good one (whether intentional or not).

I wrote this letter to the L.A. Times, but it is just as suitable here.
==================================
Editor
L.A. Times
Sir:
In response to those "warning" and handwringing about invading Iraq and toppling Saddam Hussein:
An act of war and unspeakable outrage was perpetrated on 9/11/2001. President Bush should have gone to Congress on 9/12 and asked for a formal declaration of war. Not on a particular nation but upon Islam.
The very next day, a single nuclear warhead should have detonated above the capital of every terror-supporting state.
Riyadh. Baghdad. Tehran. Islamabad. Et al. We are at war, and we are fighting for the lives of our citizens and nation just as surely as we were in WWII. A "day that will live in infamy?" 9/11 was WORSE than Pearl Harbor, because it targeted innocent civilians.
We have basically done nothing whatever--except conquer Afghanistan--in the year since the attack. A nation without a death wish would have stopped issuing visas to citizens of terror-supporting states. It would have placed troops at the border. It would have revoked the visa of EVERY citizen of a terror-supporting state--and deported ALL illegal aliens. It would have at least stopped pilot training for Islamic nationals.
There are still dozens of active terrorist cells in the U.S. Eventually they will demolish the Sears Tower or release Smallpox in a major U.S. city. Perhaps THEN we will awaken to the fact that we are at war. No mercy. No quarter. No prisoners.

Morford = Irrelevant idiot who values "peace" more then Freedom.
Yawn.
To: UnBlinkingEye
Again, Yugoslavia was a play like war, and it is still going on unsolved. Like I said Yellow Belly Clinton only had play like wars.

Every person who says that we need to wait a little while longer before doing anything, that more proof is needed before action is taken, that we need to be patient and work through extra-national entities like the UN or NATO ...
... should be required to sign an affidavit stating that, should another terrorist attack occur, whether it be high-explosive, chemical, biological, or nuclear, each one forfeits any exercise of their First Amendment right to criticize the administration for "not acting" to defend the country. Every Democrat who opposes an attack on Iraq should be forced to stand in the well of the Congress or the Senate and state so explicitly, and then agree to forfeit any ability to criticize a "lack of action" on the part of the administration.

We are very unfortunately saddled with one of the least charismatic, least interesting, most intellectually acrimonious, and most desperately, (DELETION HERE) soulfully inscrutable (INSERT) columnist in decades You know, take a few words out here, put a new word in there, and you feel much better.

Isn't he precious! Particularly when he objects to the venomous, hate-filled responses his venomous, hate-filled columns engender. "Cheney is a bloodthirsty warmonger who probably eats children, but don't you dare attack me on a personal level."
To: Oldeconomybuyer
It is interesting how a craven physical coward as the author could have the glands to produce so much venom and bile. He certainly in neither worthy nor capable of shining Chenney's shoes, as his only apparent talent is in promulgating vicious adhominem attacks without basis and effecting a singular kind of self marginalization. I can think of no human on earth more deserving than Mark Morford of being sent back in time, and being securely bound to the television mast of the South Tower of the World Trade Center, sometime before mid morning of September 11, 2001. His perspective on events might well have changed in a way he had not at all anticipated.

I am an utter moron. I am a total imbecile. I am the enemy.
Check.
I am a typical SF liberal jackass ...
Check.
I must be gay. Really, really gay.
Only you and your "girlfriend" know for sure.

Tell Mark to look at it this way: If Liberals and anarchists are against forcing a regime change in Iraq, America can safely conclude that it is absolutely necessary.

Being called gay simply has zero negative effect, just makes me shrug and smile and wonder and in fact only makes me more grateful to live in a city where such an "accusation" just means you probably dance really well and shun professional sports and get regular manicures and have really great sex and cool taste in shoes. And dress in designer clothes.
