While looking over my server logs today, I came across a blogger post about DARPA's Information Awareness Office. For those who don't know, this new DARPA agency was established in January to provide the U.S. with "total information awareness" in the wake of 9/11. Utilizing the full capabilities of Echelon technology and a sister organization called the Information Exploitation Office, the US foreign and domestic spying capabilities are akin to an "All-Seeing-Eye". In February the Guardian ran a story which said, "Think, Big Brother is Watching You. IAO will supply federal officials with 'instant' analysis on what is being written on email and said on phones all over the U.S. Domestic espionage. You want to test it out? ...

This site has some interesting stuff and lots of links to more stuff. Some of it might be a bit tin foilish but I found the IAO site particularly interesting.

Saw this a few weeks ago. Can't believe they quietly worked Poindexter back into "public service" without so much as a whimper out of our media.

Well, isn't that a reaving little emblem ! So is our gov't run by secret Masonic lodges, etc. as some have tried to warn us ?
Guess the Mohammedens in the UK aren't the only ones who feel its time to brazen show their true colors with the assumption we are powerless to stop them.
To: hoosierham
That's not an official emblem.
To: mountaineer
That's not an official emblem.
It's the same emblem they have on their web site.

If I'm mistaken, my apologies, but I do not see that emblem on DARPA's
website. The posted "emblem" was from the conspiracy website. Do you have a link?
To: mountaineer
My bad, I found
it. I find it hard to believe that this office is necessary.
To: slimer
I thought this was a gag! I can't believe that site is real, but there is "DARPA" in URL. That logo looks like something out of '50's movie.
A "B" movie. That's what life is becoming...
To: justsomedude
I can't wait to read about "Babylon."

Is this thing up and running, or is this website just a 'trial balloon?'
To: slimer
Wow. Sounds like one of those low budget Christian 'end times' movies...
To: slimer
yeah. reality is beginning to look a little tin-foilish, isn't it?
To: justsomedude
Wild site!
I hope you didn't overlook the pages on the DARPA Grand Challenge! (An "autonomous ground vehicle race" from Los Angeles to Vegas.)
This is definitely "B" movie material! (But I must admit, as soon as they publish dates for that race I'm booking a room in Vegas -- gonna be some interesting gamblin' going on for that one!)
To: justsomedude
It's in it's formative stage and has well defined goals. Some of the Programs have been operating for some time now.
