I'm glad to see that they put Mannish Boy back in the song line up. On "Love You Live" they did a killer version of the Muddy Waters' classic with Billy Preston on keyboards. I wish they would have included Midnight Rambler that would have been great.

Anyone going to see the reconstituted Doors this weekend in LA?

Harley-Davidson Open Road Tour.

John Densmore may or may not be going. I've seen Robby Krieger and have wanted to see Ray Manzarek play (even solo).

They'll be playing after Earl Scruggs.

So far they are scheduled to play Toronto in late September as well.

They did Midnight Rambler on their last tour on the small stage as some venues.

My luck. I finally have the time to go see them if they come this way and I want get to hear it. I hope they do some good blues jams with some of there songs.

Who is playing bass and keyboards this time around for them?

No one said they were cheap. But I even went to France to see one. And I am allergic to France.

Well after all, they fart in your general direction!

(I'd like to get back to the Musikverein in Vienna; it's been eleven years now...)

I forget even tho' they were introduced. The Piano player rocked, Bobby Keys did the Sax and Lisa Dunn(?) was the same womon who toured with them last time singing backup.

I've seen them three times. I won't be going back. I was on the front row at a show in Williams Brice Stadium about 15 feet from the stage. Seeing Keith Richards that close to you scares the beejeezus out of you. I swear he's Kevorkian's only living patient.

Good for the Stones! Even if they are the ugliest band in rock

Lets see you snort as much coke, shoot as much smack, drop as much acid, and drink as much alcohol as they have and see if you look like a million bucks.[sarcasm] They keep getting richer, and take an ugly picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone.

Thanks for the info.

Is the new 40 Licks CD a live one, a compilation of re-mastered recordings, or new material? I got a few live bootlegs from the 70's even a couple with Mick Taylor playing guitar. I wish the Stones would find their original masters or soundboard copies and clean them up and issue them. I love live because it gives the musicians a chance to stretch out on a song and use their creativity to go beyond what the producer or record company wanted them to throw down for mass market. It always gets really good when a group gets into an improvised jam and let's it rip such as when the Stones recorded with Muddy Waters. Other bands that could improvise a good live jam were John Lee Hooker, Johnny Winter, Blue Oyster Cult, The Who, and Led Zeppelin. Oooopps. How could I forget Mr. Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

They only 'jammed' on you gotta move.

40 Licks is redone/remastered old cuts with a sprinkling of new ones.

I still think Mick Taylor has a sweeter hand than Ron Wood.

Nice Stones wall paper where did you get it?

You got that right about Mick Taylor. He could do more with a few notes than most guitarists can with the full spectrum. Has Mick T. ever reunited with the Stones for concerts? A three guitar line up would be interesting. I feel he would get them back closer to their blues roots.

Bobby Keys has routinely recorded and toured with the band since 1972 and yet he's still not considered a "member" of the Rolling Stones. What's it take to join this band? They have a thing against Texans?

Hell no!!! Just making a tungue in cheek statement. I think that Steve Howe of Yes is one of the greatest guitarists on the planet, but he ain't no pretty boy.

Actually, I am sorry ol' Lance did not get shot into space. How often does the possibility come around to have an NSunc member be blasted into oblivion.

Ask Jenny Hall (that's his ex-wife's name, isn't it ).

He was at the rodeo in Mesquite/Garland in the Dallas area a few years ago.

Keys adds that perfect hole punching horn effect.

Maybe it's an English thing. Only an Englishman can be a real RS.

Captn, Chuck Leavell is the keyboard player.

They ROCKED Hartford last night.

Their featured album was let it bleed; but they did nice cuts from exile too.

See 'em if you. Gimme Shelter keeps getting better.

Lisa Fisher smoked the place.

Awesome Awesome; What a show!
