We have little more than a week left to get the word out across this great land we love and call the United States of America.
On Wednesday, September 11, 2002, all Americans who will be driving a motor vehicle are being asked to do so with their HEADLIGHTS ON.
Contact the newspaper in your town or at your school. Call the television and radio stations in your area. Inform your elected representatives. Pass the word at your place of employment. Tell your family, friends and neighbors. Send this e-mail to people. Discuss this event in chatrooms and on message boards.
No explanation is needed as to why we are commemorating September 11 in this fashion. However, we hope to pay respect to the victims of that day, display our nation's solidarity, and, show support for our men and women in the Armed Forces.
"Let's roll" down the roads and highways with our headlights on this September 11!

""Let's roll" with our HEADLIGHTS ON this 9/11" Let us not.
Let us not substitute symbolic gestures for actual results.
Let us not belittle the loss of thousands with a silly gesture that costs nothing.
Let us instead arrange the deaths of an equal number of terrorists--for starters--on 9/11/2002.
Let us instead enact an outrage of equal proportion upon the center of the Islamic world. I favor saturating Mecca with the blood and entrails of swine.

My husband is a truck driver. As soon as he rolls back in, I'll ask him to pass this along via CB radio!

Here's what one "person" is doing on 9-11
Patrick Scully, a Minneapolis performance artist and activist, said he has found himself awaiting the anniversary with some dread. "I didn't want to find myself remembering the day surrounded by flag-waving people wanting to bomb Iraq for revenge," he said. He said he knows many people who feel as he does -- people who want to remember the tragedy but move forward in peace.
"We don't support a war on terrorism with no end in sight," said Scully, 48. "It feels like the McCarthy era, just before my time. Never before in my adult life has it felt more unsafe to be critical of the government than it feels right now." So Scully is asking people with similar views to participate in what he's calling a public art ritual. At 9:11 p.m. on Sept. 11, they'll meet on the bridge between Boom Island Park and Nicollet Island in Minneapolis to launch "frozen tears" in the Mississippi River. They'll light small candles and float them in tiny boats made of ice. For directions on how to make the ice boats, see
http://www.frozentears.org.
The candles and the river will melt the ice, "symbol of the new cold war, sometimes also called the war on terrorism," Scully said. "We'll release the tears and let them melt." He won't guess how many people will participate. Twenty would be fine, he said, and 2,000 would be better.
Isn't that just so special?

Sounds like he is a true "Neville Chamberlain" thinker. It's unfortunate that he'll reap the benefits of our successful war on terrorism once the enemy has been neutralized. It may take a while but the security benefits seriously outweight NOT taking action.
Please pass the word on the September 11, 2002 grass-roots effort to have all Americans roll with their HEADLIGHTS ON.

OUTSTANDING IDEA!
My patriotic father-in-law is a truck driver. I know he'll be more than happy to pass the word thru Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas...If people know someone who has a CB base station or short wave radio facility, let'em know!

Boris,
To borrow a phrase from the disgraced president Clinton:
"I feel your pain." I too look forward to the day that all of these rodents, aka terrorists, are exterminated from the face of the planet. However, this can be a nationwide success and will signify our continued unity in the effort to eradicate them. You'll also be showing your support for the modern day "Orkin Man," or, the United States Armed Forces.

"I will add another flag bumper sticker :-)" Ya know, I've got two magnetic flags on my pickup and a real flag on the antennae, but I might just need to find some more room fer the RedWhite&Blue as well!! There's seemingly been a lull in the War on Terrorism but it's about time we redoubled our efforts. Looks like our Fighting Men (and Women) will be going into Iraq sooner rather than later, and we need to demonstrate to the World that they've got our blessing when they embark on their noble mission of liberating the Iraqi sheeple from their thuggish oppressor, Sodom!!
