The Vacant Seat Number 666 in the European Parliament
Report on the opening of the Fifth Elected Parliament of Europe in Strasbourg and its occupancy of the new Parliament Buildings.
Ian R.K: Paisley, M.P., M.E.P.
The recently elected Fifth Parliament of Europe met on Tuesday, 20th July, 1999, in its new glass building which cost the taxpayers of Europe an as yet uncalculated sum of billions of Pounds. The first meeting, due to begin at 10.00 a.m., did not start until 10.30 because the amplification system, which cost millions of Pounds, was defective. No doubt more defects in this Crystal Palace will be manifested in the days to come.
Incidentally, the Members of the European Parliament had no say whatsoever in where the building was to be located, what its design was to be, what amount of money was to be spent on it, or how it was to be furnished. The French Government forced it both upon Members of Parliament and upon the Governments of European Union countries, Germany and the United Kingdom being made to foot the exorbitant bill. These two countries are Europe's pay slaves.
The prophetic significance of the European Union has been revealed as the saga unfolds. [See our two articles on "The Conspiracy behind the European Union".] First, the sign which it chose as its symbol was the Woman riding the Beast. This comes from a prophecy in Revelation 17. The depiction of the harlot woman was reproduced on the centenary stamp of the European Union, in a huge painting in the Parliament's new building in Brussels, and by a huge sculpture outside the new E.U. Council of Ministers Office in Brussels. The new European coinage, the Euro, bears the same insignia. The Tower of Babel has been used on the posters emanating from Europe – a truly suggestive prophetic sign.
Now, a massive Crystal Palace tower (officially called the Tower Building) houses the Fifth Parliament of Europe.
It is certainly a building of the Space Age. The seats of its massive hemicycle are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space machines. There are 679 of them – but wait for it! While these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated and unoccupied. The number of that seat is 666. The relevant section of the seating-plan provided to each Member reads as follows:
- 655 Couteaux
- 656 Fitzsimons
- 657 Hyland
- 658 Kuntz
- 659 De La Perrière
- 660 Marchiani
- 661 Montfort
- 662 Quiero
- 663 Souchet
- 664 Thomas-Mauro
- 665 Zissener
- 666 Vacant
- 667 Cappato
- 668 Turco
- 669 Bonino
- 670 Pannella
- 671 Dupuis
- 672 Della Vedova
- 673 Dell'Alba
- 674 Gorostiaga Atxalandabaso
- 675 Gobbo
- 676 Speroni
- 677 Bossi
- 678 Formentini
- 679 Crowley
Revelation 13:18: "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." That is 666.
Today this scripture is being fulfilled before our very eyes.
The Antichrist's seat will be occupied. The world awaits his full and final development. The Lord will destroy him by the spirit of His mouth (the Word of God) and by the brightness of His coming (2 Thes. 2:8). The coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Painting by Pieter Brueghel "Tower of Babel" c. 1563 (180 Kb); Oil on panel, 60 x 74.5 cm; Museum Boymans-van Beuningen, Rotterdam
This is a European Union poster used to promote European unity. Modeled on Pieter Brueghel's famous 16th century painting "The Tower Of Babel", the poster shows the peoples of Europe rebuilding the tower that God destroyed in Genesis 11:
"And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth." (Genesis 11:5-9)
Note the statement shown on the poster "Many Tongues One Voice", inverts God's judgement on Babel. Note also that the normal European stars have been inverted to a pentagram, which shows the horns, ears and beard of Lucifer.
In December of 2000, the European Union opened its' Parliament building in Strasberg, France modeled after the Dutch artist Pieter Brueghel's famous 16th century painting, "The Tower of Babel"

The number 666 in and of itself has no special significance. The revulsion and fear for the number among Bible believing Christians comes from teachings in Scripture regarding the Tribulation period.
According to the Bible, during the Tribulation, a world leader will arise who will, to make a long story short, come on the world scene as a man of peace but eventually, after 3 1/2 years, force everyone to worship him and will force everyone to take a "mark" that includes the number 666 somewhere in the mark. The Bible says that anyone who will not take the mark will be killed. This guy will be controlled by Satan and is commonly known as the "Antichrist".
A couple of years ago the prophecy scholar Dr. Jack Van Impe had discovered that each "6" in the number "666" (when it will be used by the Antichrist) had a certain and different meaning but of course I have forgotten what it was. Maybe I will e-mail him and ask him about that.
At any rate, that's it in a nutshell. There are those who believe that the new chips that have recently been trotted out that are intended to be implanted under the skin are a significant development in the journey toward the "mark".

I'm surprised the Euros are "respecting", er, caving in to "[Judeo] Christian 'mythology'" They're doing neither.
As the line in the movie goes; "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action."
I would not characterize using a poster depicting the Tower of Babel to promote the EU, and then designing a building (EU Headquarters) inspired by a similar painting of the Tower of Babel, and then officially calling the building "The Tower" as showing "respect" or "caving in" into Christianity.
Why would you?
On the contrary, I would characterize the actions and choices of the EU as sticking to the game plan, as outlined in the Bible.
In any case, it goes much deeper than what I've presented here in this thread.
You can mock and scoff all you like, "laughing out loud," but intellectually you're outside the loop on this subject matter.

Maybe I will e-mail him and ask him about that. In the movie "The Omen" didn't a priest comment that the three sixes correspond to the "unholy trinity", as a mirror image to God, the Son and the Holy Spirit?

You can mock and scoff...you're outside the loop on this subject matter. I'm outside the loop as far as missing the Eurocrats pretentions. Probably even more outside the loop that
the European taxpayers are so dumb to let them do it in the firstplace, and even dumber to pay for it. (my down
to Earth guess its because its a very big public works endeavor)
How come the Brits aren't up in arms over "The Tower" bit?
I know Saddam thinks he's the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar. What's the matter with him? Too worried
about living until tomorrow to make a stink with the Brits?
I don't consider the Babel references an insult to Christianity. More of a longing for the past, any past,
since Europe appears to be currently on some sort of plateau of social incompetence. "Babel" is a
distraction from the political incompetence of the moment, IMO.
I'm more concerned about the current "anything but Christianity" attitude of political, educational, and
media idiots, and the fawning over the "religion of peace" eventhough the followers use it to justify random
killings, suicides, and slavery.

Frankly, you do indeed have a "big problem", and it's oriented around spiritual blindness. How's that working out for you?

Really? Every member of the European Parliment is an atheist?
Quite frankly, I've seen people do all kinds of bizarre things to avoid the number '666' (usually in price totals when I worked at a grocery store). I always thought it silly, but I don't know that anyone doing such things was an atheist.

Tishman > anagram > THANISM > philosophy of death > THANOS Seems to be a trade publication for funeral directors rather than some death cult.
Tishman is a big real estate outfit in NYC. They own lots of skyscrapers, not just 666 Fifth Avenue.

This is a great story! Maybe they should leave seat 666 vacant, like the thirteenth floor of some hotels!

I'm not one to jump on the bandwagon every time someone sees 666 or a beast somewhere, but I do believe that the Bible is true, and that it is meant for us to understand, with the Holy Spirit's help.
However, this story is quite intriguing to me. The resemblence between the painting and the poster is significant -- not a mistake, in my opinion. Also, the woman riding the beast is uncanny.
I'm not ready to come to a definitive stand on any of it -- not right now. I'm just going to trust the Lord and watch how world events unfold. But I'm going to keep my eyes on the European union. I have for years.
Speaking of 666: Have you heard the theory about UPC symbols? I'll try to find it on the Internet and bring it back to this thread.
