The newsreel cameraman during World War II?
LOL
Lowbie not only has a great attitude on life, but this quiet man also has a heart of genuine gold, an edgy dry wit, and unique political savvy. Getting to know him was one of the high points of FRiva for me.
He's A-OK numbah one in my book.
*rotf* You are in rare form today, my friend.
The formal biogenetic term describing the libido defecit is "German women".*
Katie, I have so much respect for you and BobJ and OPH and Dio and the rest of the crew for putting a really professional and competent face on Free Republic among the hoity-toitys whose opinion means something. I mean that, every time I've seen what you do at trade shows etc. it makes me feel good, because you are doing Free Republic honor. When you and Bob are working the booth, it's like the 1400 post FR thread about Abraham Lincoln's STD rampage over the boys of the South never happened! Kidding, you do a fantastic job.
The world, life, is about going out and changing the stuff that bugs the hell out of you. Like you are doing. It's funny, Wellstone and I have a little MN State Fair routine every year ... I walk up with my pockets out, I went to a food stand one time that was roasting a Pig and I talked them out of a pig organ and I walked up and presented it to him (not really) as my "contribution". It's fun, he's actually a good guy when he's not being a Fifth Column saboteur. Thursday I asked him if his masters in Hollywood knew he was here! He laughs about it all, he asked me if my Probation Officer knew I was here! LOL!
I told him to brush up on his college lecture notes.
I want him gone. And that takes effort and investment. That's what you do, Katie, for FR and I am just Up Up With People about the whole thing. Kudos lovely lady!
*Note: German women are beautiful, intelligent, and would never think of suing or kicking the arse of some sad sack on an internet message board.
REPORT: FReeper Albany Bus Trip aka Lowbridge's Excellent Adventure
Pics are no longer on the thread, because the powers that be have long since deleted my freebie website that I hosted them on (I was using up too much bandwith). Someday I'll just have to upload the pics all over again.
We went to Albany for the Second Amendment Sister's Mother's day Rally. The million mom marchers were supposed to have their rally right across the street from us, and one of their confirmed speakers was Hillary. I WAS going to infiltrate their crowd, freep hillary with a sign (on behalf of the freepers of Kansas) and stuff but at the last minute, some guy (which turned out to be a teacher from New Jersey) called in some sort of bomb threat on their rally. So they shut down and Hillary attended another raly in another part of the state.
The MMM organizers later claimed that they were expecting thousands to show up at their canceled rally. Yeah right. When my small group had arrived, MMM had only a small handful as far as I could tell...just as small as my group. Actually, they were so small, that I was unable to tell which were their rally attendees and the park employees. Our rally on the other hand, had already a couple hundred or so.
Though I got so few people for the trip, I had such a good time that I am STILL thinking of a FReeper road trip to somewhere. :-)
You got me blushing now :-) :-) :-)
Thanks so much and it was terrific meeting you too! :-)
Thanks for the pictures!
