Whatever...your "announcement" and the attendant gift request is still tacky. What are you talking about???? Every modern wedding is announced. Ever hear of a wedding registration at a department store? JediGirl is "registered" at Amazon Inc essentially. I'm glad she let her friends know.
So if you are not her friend, shove off.
To: JediGirl
I have a stupid look on my face No, that's a sly look and I know you were looking at me. Really!
Bwahaha! I couldn't resist.
Beautiful pictures, beautiful bride. I wish you the best of luck in your new adventure!
To: Hemingway's Ghost
You owe me a new keyboard for that.

She can be registered anywhere she wants...my point was that publicizing her wedding and asking for gifts is tacky! How many ways do I have to say it so you understand!
Last I heard anyone registered at FreeRepublic can comment on any d**n subject he/she pleases within the confines fo the rules. The whole thing (jedi wedding)smells of rotten fish and maybe worse! And that's all I have to say about that!
To: Hemingway's Ghost
HG- You may wish you could write like Hemingway and it shows since you shamelessly appropriate his name but you write more like a churlish remedial English guy.
As I said to you before this whole wedding 'thang' is bizarre to say the least. Take it or leave it but remember to stick it up your rear.

Chris and I are quite enjoying the things people are buying us. We've had about £80 spent on us and it's extremely appreciated and we are thankful to the people who got us those gifts.
If they didn't want to get us anything, chances are, they wouldn't have.
You stick that in your pipe, smoke it, and feck out of my life.
To: eleni121
Your "point," such as it is, is duly recorded and hereby ignored. You're an ugly, self-absorbed hag dripping with jealousy. That stench you smell is your own breath blowing back at you.
Eff off.
To: eleni121
Yeah, I registered 1 1/2 years ago (under the nick ChemicalSmile) so that when I got engaged (and I didn't know i would be) I could post my wish list. Damn! You figured me out! You're a smart one, you are!
I thought I'd waste over a year debating my brains out so that I could get some books and DVDs. Jesus! How do you figure these things out?
To: JediGirl
You stick that in your pipe, smoke it, and feck out of my life. Well...the happy little "bride" considers her gifts and lapses into a tirade regarding her...ooops...faux pas about begging for gifts. Listen up girlie - you are the one who published your gift wish list. You are the one who wanted her 15 minutes of fame. If you can't take the resultant heat get out of the fire.
To: JediGirl
WooHoo!
To: eleni121
yeah, i guess i'm not really a bride. yeah, and you know...i only got married so people on freerepublic would buy me gifts.
go take your estrogen.
To: JediGirl
Hey JediGirl, a pig got loose at the reception -- we'll handle it. :-)
To: JediGirl
Chris, Me, His parents Uh, excuse me for being forward, but where are your(jedi girl's) parents?
And don't give me any lame Libertarian excuse such as calling me a fascist.
You were the one who decided to put your marriage signing out for public view on FR and I say that is your right, but then there is the nagging question many people will say privately of why your parents are not in the picture.

I'm wondering about the vows...what---to whom!
To: Dane
Darn JediGirl -- now the pig's mate is running loose as well! Well, every wedding reception has its little incidents, drunk and boorish guests. Put it in the scrap book. It's good for laughs later.
To: Hemingway's Ghost
You just described my neighbor perfectly. She also peers out her window constantly to see when everyone is coming and going in the neighborhood.

BTW, I wasn't invited to this "reception" it was foisted upon me, and yet I still don't get an answer of where JediGirl's parents are in the picture.
So excuse me Mr. UberLibertarian brownshirt for asking a question.

More thsn likely, my parents will not be able to attend my wedding. Could be they do not live in the same country and cannot afford to get there. We don't all stay in the same town as our parents. ;-)
To: Dane
They're in the U.S. They couldn't get passports in time and were unable to come.
If you want to prod deeper I'll give you their emails so you can confirm...just so you can sleep at night.
To: f.Christian
Another big surprise time: Some make their vows to each other, because they are not religious.
