I'm not too comfortable with the "Black Bastards" part of that title.Technically, a person born out of wedlock is a bastard BUT the word "bastard" has become so strongly perjorative over the years, I try not to use it. As someone pointed out to me over 40 years ago, a child does not choose the circumstances of birth.

Shaka Zulu was an incredible story. The presentation on TV was dramatic, haunting music, good acting, fascinating history with a lot of truth in it. Some even more fascinating events were left out but are discussed in print biographies.

The government now encourages all races to reject the man in the family. Every woman is told that she can have all the financial benifits of having a working husband without having to actually have one. The government will happily extract everything from him for her. If he doesn't pay, he goes to jail. Why put up with a man when she can have any man she wants whenever she wants and not when she doesn't? Either way, she gets the benefits without having to give the man supporting her any deference whatsoever.

Destruction achieved by the left. But the millions remaining largely make good dumb Democratic voters and that's really what counts. Pat 'em on the head. Damn.

It's a fact jack - the more babies you have the bigger your guvment check. We actually had a grandmother sue her daughter for custody of the granddaughter's 6th illigitimate child so the grandmother could get the welfare check. The present scam is for a black girl entering college to claim neices and nephews as her children to get a bigger guvment check.

Author has it all wrong

The real problems in the Black community are caused by Fuzzy Zeller and John Rocker
At least that's what all the lib commentators want me to believe

Besides this guy is far behind the time curve
Farrakan's Million Man March fixed all the problems with young black men

White people, even if they wanted to hold Blacks back and rob them of their opportunity at success, have not one iota of power to pull it off.

Like Booker T. Washington said, "You can't hold a man down without staying down with him."

According to those (mis)educated at most American colleges and universities, the statement above is not only false, but that Booker T. was also a "sellout". This includes my Left-leaning Independent-voting friend.

Someone (forgot who) said (paraphrasing) that democracy would fail when average citizens figured out that they could vote themselves money from the national treasury.

It seems to me that what you have presented here demonstrates how insightful that staement was.

...a child does not choose the circumstances of birth.

Well said, Gene. The only real "bastards" (as the word now implies) are those who gave birth to these children and refuse to accept any responsibility and do the right thing.

I, rdb3, AM a "sellout."

I've sold out the victimization mindset.

I've sold out the notion that I need someone else's permission to not only be who I was born to be, but to achieve what my heart desires.

I've sold out the notion that true blackness is defined by where a black stands on political issues.

I've sold out the thinking that I need some "leader" to guide me, other than Christ who was Crucified. When I need a leader, I pray, and look in the mirror. No other leadership is needed.

I've sold out the notion of being defined by anyone. Those licenses have been revoked.

I've sold out the collective for the autonomous. My slave forefathers dreamed of freedom, and I owe them. I am paying my debt to them by living as free as I can possibly be.

I, rdb3, am a "sellout."

I believe that this was either Voltaire or Bastiat.

Let's think about WHY the term is so perjorative. I believe it is because society was so down on illegitamate children in times past (because someone would have to pick up the tab, possibly for religious reasons) that many of them became bad actors in reaction to their constant ill treatment--real bastards, so to speak. Of course, there's also the family pathology aspect of single parent upbringing, which may or may not be more relevant to our times than times past.

In 1965, liberals began introducing hundreds of government programs creating a massive welfare state now in dire need of reform.

Just goes to show that the faster you hand out money, the faster people "in need" will show up to take it. Good article. The title was a bit jarring, but I realize it was put there to grab our attention.
