Wish I could go, how much do those things cost to attend?

...how much do those things cost to attend?I don't know about California, but the luncheon with Bush and Gov. McCallum in Milwaukee last week was $500 per plate. BUT they had a free reception beforehand. Admission was by ticket only, but Bush gave a rip-roaring speech which he later repeated in DesMoines. I only got to listen to part of it on the radio, but I had tickets and was jsut dying that I could not go. Check with the Republican HQ and see if there is a free event in conjunction with the paid fund-raiser.

$2500? Aw, heck, I didn't need to make those 3 mortgage payments. =^)

Bumping for GW and Simon!

Okay, I'm curious - how many freepers are in a position to spend that kind of money on a single evening?
Normally I consider myself fairly affluent, but I'm afraid I'm not one of them :-(.

Here's the perfect solution...
If 25 Freepers will sponsor me for $100 apeice, I'll go as our representative, and report back here.
If 50 Freepers sponsor me for $100, I'll bump up to a better table, and try and get FR mentioned during some Q & A.
Remember, all proceeds go to the Simon for governor campaign.

$2500? Aw, heck, I didn't need to make those 3 mortgage payments. I was wondering where in CA you lived that $2,500 would cover 3 mortgage payments. After checking your profile I see you reside in IN. In CA $2,500 will cover about 1 mortgage payment, unless you are renting a garage from your "amigo."
To: daviddennis
David, the question really is "how many CA FReepers can afford NOT to support Bill Simon?" Can you afford another four years of the Dimwit?

I thought it was all over for Simon?
I thought that the Republican Party wasn't going to support him?
I thought that his campaign was in disarray?
I thought that Bush wasn't going to support him?
You mean the Liberal media lied to me?
