Star-Packed Full Frontal a Box-Office Dud

Did you ever think Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt would make a movie and everyone would ignore it? Well, that's the case with Steven Soderbergh's unintelligible Full Frontal.

Last weekend, in a little over 200 theaters, it made less than $400,000. Its total so far is a million bucks. That isn't even enough to pay Julia's annual hairstyling bill.

What happened? ...

>>Democrats are in the dictionary between "demented" and "demonic".

You're using too much logic. Julia Roberts lives in the "Logic-Free" zone of Hollywood and California.

Wasn't Julia Roberts in another movie that went down in flames, called "Hook"? (and she was Tinker Bell)??

Just went to the Webster's dictionary and found a very interesting entry: "Democrat-Republican"

It says: "of or relating to a major American party of the early 19th century favoring a strict interuptation of the constitution to restrict the powers of the federal government and emphasizing states' rights"

I like it!

That was Sally Fields. Julia stood up at the oscars & before she gave out the oscar for (I think) best actor to Denzel Washington, she beamed (as only she can BEAM) & said "I LOVE MY LIFE". As if to say her life was better than anyones. Then she proceded to hang all over Denzel & make an even bigger fool out of herself. I don't know what happened after that because I had to go & puke.

She has been in several duds. Personally, I don't see the big attraction.

I think Sally Field made a fool of herself when she won for Places in The Heart.

Democratic-Republican: A member of the political party known(after 1829) as the democratic party.

My dictionary doesn't say what yours does but says they evolved into democrats. No wonder reagan said the democratic party left him, not he the democratic party.

The rats have lost their history, hopefully the republicans have not.

On the other hand, democrat is in the dictionary between demagogue and demon

It is also between dementia and deny

. For someone not living in L.A. or in the film industry, I can see how this movie wouldn't make any sense.

It's a pet peeve of mine that hollywood keeps making movies and shows about hollywood, full of inside jokes and loaded with condescending portrayals of lowly regular people. Eventually maybe hollywood will be sent a message that nobody is interested in their seeing movies they make to crack themselves up. In my mind, its sort of like going on vacation and using a camcorder to record hours and hours of film of it, then showing it to all your freinds when you get home. If they've been there, they may enjoy it but if not it is a snoozefest in the 1st degree.

Hmmm, let me see...

Full Frontal played in 200 theaters.

Spy Kids 2 played in 3,000 theaters.

I would guess that the fact that the movie was shown in so few theaters might have something to do with the fact that the movie made so little money. The movie might be a bomb, but I'd have to say it hasn't been given much of a chance yet.

Must feel good to be so "IN." If that was the case, why didn't they just release it in LA. Or better yet, just put it on video and send it to industry people instead of trying to fleece people out of money because he put some stars in it.

Hollywood can make whatever movie they feel like making. They aren't holding a gun to your head to go and see it.
Take it from me. If you work 80 hours a week on films for everyone else to see, it's actually quite a relief to work on a project that talks about the wacky life of the film business. You guys have time to have families and free time, humor us by letting us make a few movies about our life...you don't have to go see it.

You're way too logical. Worst yet - you are turning their logic back on them. We can have that! (Only kidding.)

You really have to look at how much it made per theater rather the total amount it made. 200 theaters is a low number...
