I was actually commenting to Tropoljac......you must have been the last post and I just replied from there, sorry.
To: BikerNYC
The comment "I'm glad they got caught" suggests a lack of confidence that they would have been dealt with by a higher authority.Actually it doesn't since God Almighty through His word commanded Christians to not associate with heathens and to remove them from their midst peacefully
To: BikerNYC
No, that's not it. And we are not talking about the destruction of life or property, for which there is something tangible lost. However, almost every drunk driver (not involved in an MVA or PI at least) tries to justify their actions by the same logic: if I hadn't been caught no one would have known and no one would have cared.
Here, we are only talking about a feeling of disgust one has after learning of what happened. The only harm here is the knowledge that it happened.
Again, one could make that argument about any public lewdness. If nobody happened to look there would be no harm. So using your logic no one should be punished.
Furthermore, as noted previously, the entire point of this stunt was the recognized risk of getting caught. Therefore it is rather disingenuous to argue that it would have been okay if they hadn't been. That was pretty much the point.
To: BikerNYC
The only harm here is the knowledge that it happened. It's just in this case, if people really believed their own bullsh!t, it would have been better if the two lovers weren't caught.Since it was being broadcast live your argument falls flat on it's face.
The only bull here is yours.
They were not lovers but one a whore and the other a whoremonger engaged in fornication for money and fame.
To: BikerNYC
If they weren't, they would have finished their business, no one would have known, and life would have gone on no worse for the wear.It was being broadcast live.

Again, one could make that argument about any public lewdness. How could it have been lewd? They're "lovers". [Still not able to believe Biker said that.]
To: stanz
What was going on with homosexual predator priests was also vile and disgusting, and I wish those priests could be horsewhipped out of the rectories.
That does not make a Catholic church a fair target for a sex in public during mass "stunt".
To: Sabertooth
I agree. Pull their license.
To: Travis McGee
No, it does not. But those perpetrators will get what's coming to them. I wonder if those priests will.

They're cowards, so they would never try anything remotely like this in a mosque, where they know they'd be hunted down and killed for it.
To: BikerNYC
"Only if they weren't caught." And the listening audience? No damage is done to them when they buy-into the notion that "everything and anything" is unworthy of respect.
The idiocy of your argument is that once you buy into the concept that you have no need to offer respect to anything or anyone, how can you claim any right to respect from others?
At best, you have taken a moronic stand on this issue.
To: Behind Liberal Lines
so apparently the name of the radio show should be "How to Show Utter Disrespect at the Lowest Level". That's what this is....it's not "sex in a risky place"...it is proving that they can completely disrespect a world famous cathedral, and all its occupants, by having sex for kicks. They don't care about themselves....they don't care about others. Disgusting.

I hope they do, and if anything remotely like that happened to my son or daughter from a priest or anyone else, they would suffer a long time.
To: Behind Liberal Lines
F**king idiots!!
To: Travis McGee
Oh Lord, I don't condone what they did. I was just adding to the notion of their stupidity.
Ever been to St. Pat's? It is a very public place, and they got caught near one of the main entrances!
To: Travis McGee
Agreed.

Funny, only to those who have no respect or fear of their Creator.Any Creator who gets His jollies trying to persuade mortals to fear Him, gets no respect from me.

A couple having sex in a church would get 25 points, according to a list of 54 sites around the city seized from Mercurio. If St. Patricks was named as one of those 54 sites is this an anti-Catholic hate crime? I would like to see that list.

If they weren't, they would have finished their business, no one would have known, and life would have gone on no worse for the wear. What kind of life would have gone on no worse for the wear? The kind of life that this kind of behavior encourages, the final breakdown of the American family?
It's bad enough that these two were not man and wife, but it's worse that they would engage in the act that creates life as if it were a casual joke.
And then to do so in a house of worship because they thought it funny.
They should be caned.
And I'm an atheist, by the way.
To: BikerNYC
Please take the time to address #42 point by point.
Unless of course, you are just a hit and run biker who is afraid of a challenge. Then you are free to run away from my questions.
