BLAIR GUARD IN HANGING
Thursday 15 August 2002
A SPECIAL Branch bodyguard to Tony Blair and his family was found hanged from the banisters at home, an inquest heard yesterday.
Det Insp Bill Lloyd, 47, was discovered by his second wife Gillian with a car tow rope around his neck. She said in a statement: "He never suggested or intimated taking his own life ever." There was no note.
A police colleague said Mr Lloyd had admitted feeling "pretty down". The day before he died in May a doctor had prescribed "happy" pills.
Mr Lloyd, of Camberley, Surrey, had been part of the Blairs' protection team for several years and had frequently gone abroad with them. Verdict: Open.

"He never suggested or intimated taking his own life ever."
Pretty d@mn eloquent for the newly grieving widow immediately after discovering the body...

Mr. Clinton also had bodyguards that died under strange circumstances.

I don't think his "happy pills" were working... British socialized medicine...probably got the prescription in May, but wasn't due to have it filled until June...

"They both have bodyguards and body counts."
You nailed it!

Was it a tow-rope given to him by his grandfather?
Is there a shortage of parks in London?
A lack of grassy knolls?
I'm sure they have no genuine civil war cannons, but they must have something comparable.
Did Cheri Blair send someone over to collect his papers?

3 of them were (was?) shot by another BATF agent on the roof of the Waco "compound". They were VERY familiar with Klinks' history.
Needless to say they never had to testify in court.

I don't know about newgeezer, but the first time I read the sentence I thought it said:
A SPECIAL Branch bodyguard ... and his family [were] found hanged ...So much for my comprehension skills.
