Why do people keep asking GWB to release the SEC report re the Harken investigation? This has been gone over both times he ran for Governor of Texas and for President. If those reports are wanted that badly why not get them from Ann Richard's people or Gore's? Looks to me like the real goal here is "the issue not the solution." Standard liberal SOP.

It's my understanding that the report has never been released, just the letter concerning the SEC decision to not press any charges. The SEC never said the deal was proper, just that it wasn't prosecuting.

I don't understand why, say after the mid term elections, the full report isn't made public and we get this behind us. The rumors are troubling and should be dealt with
