How much do you want to bet that the Republicans will not win the Senate?

Very interesting about Cornyn and Kirk. That's quite a turnaround since the last I heard of this. What's been happening in my native country???
To: PhiKapMom
Seems like RATS are never named in suits even when they are the main culprit. Maybe hillary is getting all this money together so she can pay off the plaintiffs so they don't name her RAT colleagues or ex-colleagues.

Cornyn leads Kirk 46% to 35% among all voters and 50% to 35% among high propensity voters Great news and thanks for the update.

Because Erskine Bowles (aka Poster Boy for Corporate Irresponsibility) can't seem to keep the oh-so-unflattering details of that pesky $4.2 mil job at Forstmann Little off his resume and out of the papers. (That's $4.2 mil a year...)I don't care if Bowles made 75 million a year. At least I know that he has promised to stab me for more taxes and bleed me dry. Unlike our 'compassionate' conservative candidate, Elizabeth 'Giddy' Dole, the pro-choice, anti-gun, pro-tariff, pro-nationalized healthcare conservative running against him. Well we haven't had the primaries yet, but the RNC has been advertising for her for the past 6 months. I won't vote for her but she'll win anyway. And I imagine her and Hitlery will hit it off are going to hit it off better than X42I and Viagra Bob

PHK, here's hoping the 'pubbies(RLC/RNC) take control, and once control is regained, will Nickles take over for the spineless one?

Not being from CT, I don't know these people - but I'm assuming you're talking about local politics, as opposed to federal. Federal CT Senators are Christopher Dodd (D) and Joseph Lieberman (D), neither of whom are up for re-election this November. Additional clarity for non-CTers would be appreciated.

But the Demoncrats are clean as a whistle on all this corporate corruption, don'tcha know. That's obvious because nobody ever got into trouble for cooking the books or looting the corporate assets when the Demoncrats were in charge. These crimes are only punished when Republicans are in the White House. Therefore the crimes only occur when Republicans are in the White House.
Seems obvious to me.

I would not be surprised if the GOP lost Senate seats. I can remember hearing the party line in 1996, 1998, 2000, of how the GOP would gain seats in the Senate. It didn't happen.
If the GOP loses seats this time, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what will happen. Conservatives will get blamed, and Bush will use it as an excuse to move further to the left.
On the other hand, if the GOP wins the Senate, it will force Republicans to advance a conservative agenda. No more excuses about Dass-hole.
If they win, and fail to advance a conservative agenda, they will be exposed for the fraud which many believe them to be. Perhaps then, a grassroots movement will emerge to retake the Republican party.

God, I hope you're right! I fear the silent and stupid majority may come into play.

Have we considered massive voter fraud, college students voting multiple times, etc..?

The real losers? Connecticut retirees ... Are you saying these retirees are going to vote Republican? I hope you're right, but I'll believe it when I see it.
The State of Connecticut has filed suit. But for some reason (a mystery!) Poster Boy is not named in the suit ... Does this mean Bowles is not intimately involved? Or does Connecticut not really want to collect on the suit by leaving a principal out of it?

This is a suprise, they were neck and neck with Kirk ahead at one point. What a turn around, and thankfully not like the Simon turn around.
