[history]
Various state and federal law enforcement officials increased patrols on and around the Golden Gate Bridge on Sunday after bridge district officials learned of a potential terrorist threat 11 months after attacks on New York and Washington.
The bridge was placed on a "super-heightened" state of alert after information was shared through an interagency coalition Friday, said Mary Currie, spokeswoman for the Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District.

The bridge was placed on a "super-heightened" state of alert...
'Super-Heightned' being of course, the alert state located directly after the "mostly-kingsized hightened" state of alert, and just before the "super-duper gigantic-ist" state of alert.

If these Saudi financed Islamakazis blow up an anthill in America, this should become our rallying call:
Kick their a$$ and take their gas!

KSFO Good Morning BUMP

I've been crossing it twice a day for years, to and from work, and it's still amazing to me. A reminder of an era when Americans knew how to get things done. It couldn't be built today - a flotilla of Greenpeace psychotics would form a chain of boats across the Golden Gate to stop construction, and a Federal Judge would back them up.

It must stand, at least until the Tall Ships Parade on Aug. 28. I want a good pictue of my boat going under the bridge.

When I was young in San Francisco (that most beautiful of all cities then) I would walk from my apartment to the Golden Gate Bridge and then over it to Sausalito. I'd then catch the bus back. It is an amazingly beautiful structure. San Francisco was once an anazingly beautiful city. I wish I could go back in time...back in time away from all of this madness...and walk the bridge again and live in my beautiful, wonderful, magic CITY once more. Too bad that TIME and the "liberals" (that word really has to be changed as it applies to these people. "Liberal" is a good word with a good meaning...I really hate hearing it applied to the insane) had to bring us to this.
